I appreciate that she included gree ideas for getting heat and cold exposure. As a homesteader, I get more heat than cold at this time of year, but perhaps more plunges in the 55 degree creek is in order...
Today is a heavy coffee roast ans ship day, a catch up on chores day, and a visitor day. A friend was supposed to meet me for lunch in town and decided to come here for a coffee on the homestead instead.

We found this rose quartz last night and I thought it must be just the thing to set the tone for the weekend.
Tomorrow, we have a gathering as we build the final section of tomato wall. Excited to see new and familiar faces, share a meal, and learn from the experience.
We've been called to stop hiding woods and open up the homestead more. Should be a fun time!
As an aside, I've heard a rumor that having no indoor animals makes it easier to keep the house clean. Is this a thing?!

Good morning NOSTR Friends! I hope you’re well! The skies in northern Ohio are overcast right now and it is 71 outside. The Weather App tells me it will be sunny with a high temp of 87 this afternoon.
I’m on my way outside to do morning things with the ducks. Then I’ll harvest and process my rhubarb and strawberries, and make my way over to the raspberry patch to continue the never-ending task of weeding.

We were excited to get some salad greens this week while the day lilies were blooming (verify variety before eating yo).
This flower has a peppery, radish flavor and grows all over the us.

Doing chores early today because we are headed to Strong Roots Resources today and Tactical wanted to hit church on the way.
Contemplating the tomato wall system today. We are building the last one to shield my house from summer sun next Sunday afternoon. We decided to do an open house/potluck for anyone who wants to see how this is done.
The weird thing? This is a hydroponic system. I tossed compost tea in there 4 weeks ago along with Texas Tomato Food. Since that time these plants have gone from babies to almost as tall as my house AND I have added water but no more fertilizer. The nutrient count keeps going up. The plants look healthy. It has turned into a great experiment. What did I trigger and how did I trigger it??
Anyway the new wall will have a worm bin integrated and I'll see if we can go 100% compost tea and worm casting tea.
