I Agree with the principle that "safe people make safe places”. A number of pepper authors emphasize the importance of community. I didn't mention that but took steps in my life to do a tactical relocation to move into low population density rural America where community still matters and where neighbors still take care of neighbors. My freinds are you preppers? I've been an active pepper since I first saw the writing on the wall over twenty years ago. I engaged with a militia group for a season to learn what the sovereign citizen can do to be ready for the ultimate decline of social and economic conditions. I consumed volumes of literature within the genre of a post apocalyptic dystopian world and ways to survive the chaos. All fiction and imagination. Somehow I distilled some basic lessons about preparation for the unthinkable. The categories all started with "B"s The six B's to be precise. BEANS representing all sorts of shelf stable foods and water purification and storage. BULLETS. Firearms, ammo, and replacement parts, batteries for optics. BANDAIDS all first aid supplies, medications of as many types as possible as well as trauma kits and IV supplies. BULLION gold, silver, booze, cigarettes, dry goods, candy, diapers, female hygiene products all for barter. BIBLE Ever necessary spiritual food to keep sane and enrich ones local clan and community while under stress. THEN THERE CAME BITCOIN. Stack to the best of your ability. Stay humble.

Carla how in the world did you end up on this topic? It's a pretty cool fish and one of my favorite finds when diving. They have the best camouflage. One of my other favorite finds are scorpion fish. Another fabulous fish hiding right under your nose. Now you want to wonder about weird critters, try finding Pygmy seahorses or nudibranchs.

It's like taking Broken Money and gearing it to an audience that isn't as sophisticated. Eg plebs without masters level econ backgrounds. I've read all these books and then some.( 50 plus books in the last two years) and this one speaks to the masses who are trying to wrap their heads around the basics of philosophy of money, markets, and the critical role fiat plays in our society and the outsized role of the corruption of our abstracted time and energy in the ponzi of fiat and debt. Leopard does a great job reaching a much wider audience.

It was on my bucket list as one of the last three states in the country to visit. Got it crossed off a couple years ago during leaf peeping season. It was truly stunning and we were glad we went even though my wife thought it was a dumb idea at first. We totally grok why it is a tourist magnet. Nothing like fresh lobster right off the boat. Colors and colors on all the foliage. Amazing eye candy.

I think the upcoming Satellite drop is going to impress most. The newly retooled back end protocol makes it super fast and the front end UX has new features most people have been waiting for. I got to scuba with a pair of them that size in Fakarava a couple years ago. They were amazing.
