I agree. I was saddened and disturbed to hear it. I've spent decades of my life trying to get out of cities/towns, and the experiences in the Philippines only made me desire it more urgently. we're being cut off from all sacredness and it poisons us slowly day by day.

I don't see a resolution without a major event. My wife and I have been looking seriously for about a year. We made an offer last week but somebody else offered $50K over askin. $50K!! I know this is a butt fucker of a decision but I have an expanding family and I'm out of time and I need a bigger house.

Yeah, thanks, that all makes sense. I myself use social media to try to connect with people who share my interests. It doesn't really work, but what can you do! My kids are 1 and 2 now, we haven't made it to social media phase yet.
