If you are interested, you can host a website on TOR for free, you just won't get a nice URL
Being able to send bitcoin on monero rails could prove to be a valuable near term privacy option for many people.
It would be so fitting that nostr becomes the only social media that simultaneously gives easy access to gambling, yet has private arrangements to discourage the behavior that isn't some boiler plate legally required bullshit. If gamblers want to shut it off then they can just block the bot.
Do you have anything I could watch/listen to/read on the topic? A podcast, a video, it doesn't have to be professional or anything, just something to give me a rough overview of some of the benefits it could provide?
Just my 2 sats, I'm not trying to convince you to switch, I have an ICE end of the world truck too, I just don't put a lot of miles on it.
Are you a CTV supporter? I think there may be potential there, it may have been a ham fisted approach to protocol changes, but that doesn't mean its a bad idea. What are your thoughts on it?
I won't make any claims to environmental efficacy of EVs, its marginal at best.
There are numerous threats to self soverignity and human rights, and my car being turned off remotely is one that's fair to point out. There is also a risk that bad (or malicious) policy will continue to drive up gas prices, economically depressing anyone who uses an ICE vehicle.
Which way it breaks is a political decision, but in my scenario they have the tools and track record to support it, and in your scenario they would have to go beyond the status quo to lock people down. Its similar attack vectors on bitcoin, is the government more likely to attempt a blanket ban, or are they going to crack down at the exchange level through kyc and restricting withdrawals to custodial wallets?
Sounds like a winning strategy, when unrealized capital gains is levied against bitcoin you can tell the government to go fuck themselves.
Well, gl. My transportation costs are locked in for basically the rest of my life, because I can charge my car on solar that I own. You may find gas prices prohibitive to your strategy, but I really do wish you all the best, I mean I like gas too, I just anticipate its not going to practical in the near to mid term with all the crazy environmentalism.
I mean, I think he would find many anarchists to not be annoying if he actually wanted to discuss anarchism for a change. Its like, he skipped the part where he should actually engage with the idea before dismissing it out of hand. If he spent 5 minutes with Keith knight I think he would have to rethink his life.
Great episode though, you give me hope that we could return bitcoin culture to being less ideological. We shouldn't have this insane political divide trying to understand bitcoin, we are too driven by this weird evangelical conservativism that isn't any better educated on topics of human rights than the woke left.
A nostr news page would be nice so we can segregate out the bots blowing up global.
Damn. It costs $700,000 a day to keep ChatGPT running
Could be higher now because this figure was based on GPT 3

Uh, yea, Microsoft's data centers for supporting this kind of processing are growing exponentially right now. This isn't a few racks anymore, its several large buildings with staff, infrastructure, etc. In one of the most expensive places in the country.
My thoughts as well
It doesn't matter, the government doesn't persue crimes against individuals like that. Even if you catch someone robbing your house on camera the police arent going to go on some kind of manhunt lol. Tagging the FBI is like plausible deniability.
Time spent to acquire those things isn't real? To be fair I don't know what theil is on about, but in general we face serious economic issues. To say, there won't be a cataclysmic crash may be a reasonable conclusion, I don't know, but it misses that every day is an economic cataclysm for most Americans whether they realize it or not. These metrics fail to capture simple realities like, I am in the top ~15% of household incomes in the US and I can't afford to eat out; the idea of furnishing my home and getting the landscaping done is a total fantasy.
Great. Now do the time-price of things like shelter, education, and healthcare. You'll find the line also goes up and to the right, all great right?public and private debt too, all up and to the right, awesome!
My hair is too bulky to fit hats, but I'm also not outside enough to need sunscreen more than a couple times a year tops.
