Yea, my entire life I have seen cities the way they ended up in shit like 'The Planet of the Apes" etc. "God forsaken post industrial future ruins' sums it up exquisitely.

I've been to manhatten several times, and always stayed in a rather posh location off central park, so it's as good as it possibly could be, but whenever I see it I still can only imagine how beautiful it must have been before they built all that shit there.

So I was told A) some longshoreman rep / thug said they would 'bring america to it's knees, and b) that they want a 75% raise.

It was the last time I used them. For $100 you definitely should try Strike. Even with their recent changes I've never waited more than a day (and I select that 'slow' to avoid a fee to send). Nearly 1600 days in and for the first time I heard one of the phrases in my practice and I didn't translate each word as I heard them... I just understood it! Only briefly, but it was a cool feeling that inspires me for another 1595 days...

What's the best most direct, internet based (no carrier required) text and voice based communication app for all the phones of the members of my family?

We're thinking though our emergency communications options. We want secure and private, but as usable as possible for the non techs. Open source if possible.

So hold up. Something just occurred to me...

Our monetary system REQUIRES inflation which steals value for the currency we already earned by making those dollars buy less.

Further government / the central bank decides to cause MORE inflation, stealing even more value from you.

So after they steal value out of what you already earned and have, they tell you that the assets that you hold have 'gained value' because they're 'worth' more dollars, since they made dollars worth less...

So if you sell those assets, then you must PAY that same government 'capital gains' tax on those assets!?!?!
