I'm baffled how clueless the airlines are.

I have a flight with delay, I'm calling the airline about when will it leave. The guy takes like 5 minutes to look it up and tells me 3pm, but I tell him the airplane is not even here (I looked up the plane registration) and won't be until 2:55pm. I ask him to look up the previous flight (I give him the previous flight code, because he doesn't know how) and he tells me "yeah, that one is now in flight and won't land until 2:55pm".

I can estimate the flight departures using my phone much better than the airport or airline...

Yep, airlines are so ready for disruption. It got so much worse during covid. But I’m afraid the heavy regulations and cost of hardware make it hard for new competitors.

Do you know of any great text to speech models that do intonation well? Open weights. They do not need to clone voices.

I've tried suno bark, but it sometimes hallucinates. I need the reading to be literally what's written. Also tried f5-tts, intonation is not great and the speed varies a lot, so when it's reading multiple texts, the speed of output speech is different between generation. The duration predictor is also not great and sometimes causes cutoffs.

Have I missed something?

Nostr friends, what’s the current best practice on managing Nostr keys?

For instance, managing same (or clearly linked) identities across different apps (ideally not sharing the same key), or key rotation?

Unpopular opinion:

To me, most face-to-face encounters could have been a videocall.

Most videocalls could have been audiocalls (then I can be naked in the sauna)

Most audiocalls could have been a voice message on signal (I can listen and respond when I want and listen on 2x)

Most voice messages could have been signal texts or emails

Most emails I don't have to read at all and can just delete them straight away.
