With Damus, i regularly see notes that have no easily viewable upsteam links, so context is lost. It's like always hearing the punchline before the joke. To me, that's a bigger issue than Apple spiking the zaps.

How about a Text-to-speech feature? I think you can use already built tools for that. I used to use the Pocket App for narrating my web saved content, and it was great and free. Now they've disabled that. Oof!
I will do so too once I get comfortable with Nostr.... so far I'm looking for a client the manages threads better, that allows Alby-linked zapping, and has a decent iOS app. So far, nothing does all of that IMO.
