Instead of spending hundreds of thousands of sats on a new unit, I've found success by patiently looking for secondhand options. Today, I snagged a well-maintained, 12,000 BTU Energy Star unit for free from a local email list.

Over the years, I've saved millions of sats by acquiring gently used items for free by arbitraging other people's desire to declutter.

By having a lower time preference and leveraging local generosity, one could potentially save themselves loads of time and money.
