Followed.
In general folks enjoy video, and visuals. If you are a musician, carpenter, machinist you should have some 🔥 things to share. I encourage you to share, and I am sure ppl will appreciate.
Save for a few exceptions, most ppl dont receive an algo boost on nostr.
Genuinely interact with others, and you will receive more interaction.
Thanks! I certainly do have lots of eye candy to share and will be doing so!
Thanks! Definitely don't expect much traction in a week of course and planning on posting way more of my work outside of bitcoin art. Just seems like an overall issue in general but you're correct that the community is still awfully small but growing. I'm probably trying to engage with the wrong people for any good conversation. I'm loving the step back to real timelines from the golden days of social media before algorithms and engagement farming took over 🤗
In the process of doing the same, was going to use umbrel but nostr:npub1r7psmkr4zv93xnal8un6d8hvmpsn5jvhfzn3kk38rfcel6awznks7znspg seems to like start9 better. Investigating.
I saw that Umbrel just announced their new Umbrella Home today. Looks pretty nice, pretty affordable for the specs, kind of low on RAM for how much it can do though. Definitely tempting but the Start9 seems a little more future proof with much higher ram and a faster processor. Much higher price than Umbrel though. Not sure when they'll be back in stock either. Tempted to splurge on the Apollo II once that's available for the plug and play home mining advantage and then build my own home server sperately.
so far discoverability and engagement. getting lots of crickets over here...
I feel awfully fortunate to be surrounded by high quality local farms run by people who care to get it right. Local beef from 8 minutes down the road, local veg from the same, local honey, local cheese, the list goes on. living the high life over here.
GM nostr. Question -
I'm thinking of buying or putting together a small computer/server to be a dedicated node and upgrading from my raspberry pi node that's been chugging along nicely for 4 years without fail but its getting a little maxed out. My first thought is buying a used Mac Mini to accomplish this easily and efficiently. No funds will be kept on this node. What are people's favorite node setups for high performance and longevity?
Also interested in prebuilt server/node projects such as Start9 or Umbrel's dedicated servers. What's your favorite or least favorite?
Really hoping to jump on the FutureBit Apollo II train once that's available but may be a bit by the sounds of it.

I haven't seen a floppy drive in years!

excited to check this out. been looking for something solid on this topic. thanks!
If you're looking for something free to get rolling on MacOS just go with GarageBand. It's basically Logic light, works great, and easy to use. If you have the budget Logic Pro is excellent. Lots of good interfaces out there these days as well and a lot of digital mixers (and some analog with USB) will also work as an interface. If you want quality and affordability check out Focusrite interfaces. I personally haven't used one but have some friends that love them and their Scarlett OctoPre looks pretty nice and isn't too pricey. Probably available used as well.
love to see it but also makes me sad as time is running out for cheap sats...
Hit a major stacking goal a while back but the problem with hitting those goals is you always set another higher than the last...
Still feel awfully fortunate to have groked it as early as I did in comparison to other folks though.
It was a learning experience all round 🤣
I remember passing on it at $330 or so years ago when first discovering it through my favorite torrenting website Demonoid that accepted donations in bitcoin. Didn't do any research and figured I didnt need "internet money" at the time. Never went deeper until a number of years later and so wish I had...
Still working on my first bitcoin specific art that's been years in the making (coming soon!) so I figured some of my non-bitcoin art might be interesting to some nostr folks. Hand engraved Mother of Pearl inlaid into Ebony . #art #nostrart #plebchain

you can count on CNBC for being behind the 8 ball. give them a break, they're legacy 👴🏼
Levon. What a legend. Almost got to play a show at his barn in Woodstock, NY back in December but fell through last minute. Hoping to get the chance down the road. Would be quite the honor.
