“Happiness is not a destination; it’s found in the moments of a joyful Tuesday.” — Unknown

I’m pondering this paradox: I’ve observed that strong Bitcoin supporters on Nostr, tout the beauty of Bitcoin and the freedom and autonomy that comes with it. Yet, when some of these same individuals suggest that everyone "needs" to do something - like go to church or follow a specific diet - it makes me question everything. I find myself wondering what it is about freedom that's so appealing, and how it can be compromised when it comes to our personal beliefs and choices.

For most of my life, I have identified as a Christian, but I've come to realize that this label no longer resonates with me. My own story is still unfolding, and that the freedom to explore and discover is essential to my growth and well-being.

My experiences have shown me that freedom is multifaceted. On one hand, it's about external circumstances - the ability to make choices and live life on our own terms. On the other hand, it's also about internal liberation - embracing our complexities, contradictions, and uncertainties, and allowing ourselves to evolve and grow.

I'm often left with more questions than answers, and one thing that continues to perplex me is the tendency for some individuals to advocate for freedom and autonomy, while also promoting a specific set of beliefs or practices as universal truths. I'm curious to understand what drives this phenomenon, and how it relates to our own personal experiences and perspectives.

Well so conspiracy theorists look like fools. So what? What difference does it make what any of us believe? Isn’t it obvious that we live in something like a totalitarian state. Elections don’t matter. Truth has no consequences. Journalism is pointless. Americans have no ability to act. Political change only comes through organization for action, which seems to be impossible these days. All of this exposing of the truth, or the effort to confuse truth seekers, really doesn’t matter. Cass Sunstein .is the poster boy for the banality of evil.

My own feeling is that the real decay is within the language itself. The real health of a country is in language used in action. Barbarians are people who don’t speak Greek. But the very idea of acting frightens Americans. Actually doing something to make things better is un-American.

Change will only come when people are able to articulate what they want in a context where we are going to do something, and are not simply gossiping about what we have been tricked into believing. The idea that in America if people know the truth about what happened they will do something about it is, in my opinion, the biggest falsehood of all.

…the balance between the duality of optimism/pessimism is always shifting for me. and, while i cannot prove it or believe in any religion, i do resonate with nature and the voice of the wind

While none of my “side quests” are happening…I’m immersed in a book filled with quests—Ready Player One …back to it ⭐️

Sometimes being on Nostr turns into a mindless scroll of memes (and a few bits of new info to dig into).

I like your posts and have started drafts to 2 recent ones…I love writing, but my flow is a slow process. So stay tuned for those…🤓

As for this posts, regarding: likes, zaps, etc., the instant gratification is at an all time high—I find it interesting to sit in that awareness when it creeps up in “my wanting” a response. I would rather have authentic conversations with a person in this online space than a “♥️”. But, my stuff doesn’t get a lot of traction and I go back and forth on the time I want to spend with Nostr.
