Came to the realization the other day that Bitcoin is my capital. Fiat comes and goes for OpEx, we do anything to avoid losing capital.
Just watched the first couple of episodes of Dark Matter, sheesh. Sting in the tail.
I like having some in my trading accounts because it’s liquidity to sell occasionally. Can’t imagine selling the real stuff!
Having learnt my lesson from previous highs, this time I am not going to inform my wife that “our bitcoin is doing well”
Starlink, and some energy independence (Tesla powerwall and solar). Elon is good to the prepper.
I have never made it through an entire Lex Fridman podcast and I don’t think anyone else has either.
Made it all the way through April’s Tim
Sweeney one.
But, yes, in general it’s easier sticking with a 3-hr Rogan.
Oh great, the Coinbase phishing mails have started. Can’t recall receiving one before; presume hack related. Thanks, KYC. Awesome job.
Nice work, well deserved.
Interesting vision by SPJ and sweeney. Will the metaverse be powered by a functional logic programming language? Pretty bold.
Tim sweeney got me into programming via ZZT, and SPJ made me fell in love with functional programming via Haskell. now they are both working on a language for virtual worlds… as someone who had worked on my own metaverse protocol and as a huge fanboy of both of these guys… i am very intrigued.

Really enjoyed Tim Sweeney on Lex recently, so much nostalgic goodness around game dev in the nineties coupled with the future looking stuff. Will listen again, got me to open my code editor for the first time in a while.
Amazing. The art is just fantastic - love the steam punk aesthetic in S1.e8 Good Hunting.
Some of the episodes really stick with you.
It’s far better at contemporary dystopia now (e.g. S2 Customer Service & Pop Squad) than Black Mirror, which really went downhill after the first couple of seasons.
Glad it’s over for another year. At least it’s a refund*

Right. Hard to accept any other reality when your continued relevance is dependent on the status quo.
I must have missed this nugget, is it a recent quote? An entirely unsurprising view from a central bank swamp creature, granted.
Amazing. It absolutely sounds too cliche’d to be true, but I swear it happened: four year-old encountered his first legit eyepatch in a store last week and advised us (audibly, in impressed tones) that we were in the presence of a (real!) pirate. To be fair, the owner did possess a healthy beard. Though no hat, or parrot.
Honestly between the UK’s death spiral and the apparent massing of lemmings for Carney up here in Canada the world is getting awfully depressing (again). Felt like we were winning for maybe ten minutes or so.
With ref: “Over 40 Labour MPs have called for the introduction of digital IDs so the Government can "get a grip" on illegal migration”
Nothing like watching a lot of Twitter Furus who are generally aligned on the markets completely at odds with one another. Coin flip.
This feels like the Covid crash to me, and that was a great opportunity, but thankful that I’m not reliant on the fiat lottery - infuriating people have had to navigate this BS to try and preserve wealth.
Just watching my node blinking away doing its thing. DGAF. Calming.
Good advice. Especially for those things (I’d imagine, the majority) over which we have no direct control.
Watching Bitcoin, which allegedly “just acts like a tech stock” completely decouple and just sit there like a rock in the flood is quite something.
A huge shout out to everyone who continues to put our educational #bitcoin stickers in public!
Our amazing volunteers are regularly shipping out fresh batches of stickers to help you continue the mission.

Could you please produce a simple “Bitcoin fixes this” one? Would be perfect for slapping under all sorts of things. “Vote Carney”, “15 minute city ready!”, etc. Thank you!
