I can think of a few possibilities. 1. People just get knocked down by a bad bug (many podsibilities not named flu or covid). 2. Seasonal allergies can come on severe but that’s not likely to show up out of the blue (particularly unlikely for someone not eating a bunch of processed garbage food) 3. You might have pushed it too hard with exercise, sleep matters, other life stressors matter. Some wearables index recovery and let you know if it’s time for a day off or if sleep is inadequate. I wore an Oura ring and it was helpful for those things. 4. Your diet sounds healthy! Keep an open mind about what your body needs to fuel your workouts. For example, some people really do need more carbs than others.

Zinc supplementation is probably helpful, vitamin C is probably helpful for reducing the severity of whatever illness. Anecdotal and not medical advice - I take nicotinamide mononucleotide 500 mg daily because I found that I can’t get sick when taking it. Allergies are better, no viral illnesses.

I mean…it’s all America right? 😂

Seriously though, they generally have no idea the mismatch in knowledge on the subject. Many of us have years of very regular, systematic knowledge accumulation on all subjects directly and tangentially related to Bitcoin. Bitcoin exposes ego and hubris.

This is many people I know. Because they read a few stories in the New York Times and listened to Elizabeth Warren. I have never figured out a way to tell them how utterly stupid they sound without coming across as a complete asshole.

The part that is under emphasized is that the risk associated with vaccine applies to young people where the risk from the virus mosly applies to older and baseline sicker people. The vaccine ending a 45-year-old who would’ve lived to 85 is quantitatively worse than killing 84-year-old who would’ve lived to 85.

I feel where you’re coming from and would have agreed whole heartedly not long ago. Because my life got hard, I read the gospels and found that the moral framework is about believing in and loving God.

The materialist in me wonders if the right side of the brain needs the belief in order to bring the moral framework to life.

I moved from atheist to agreement with the sentiment above roughly 4 years ago. Fell on some big life challenges and dug into scriptures. I struggled with, was fascinated by the concepts of Christian Faith.

In Matthew, Jesus says: “If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” This sounds to me like Jesus is saying that no one has sufficient faith. Those that “believe” aren’t moving mountains. So I probably wasn’t alone.

In Mark 9, Jesus says to a father trying to cure his son of seizures “all things are possible for one who believes.” To which the father replies: “I believe; help my unbelief” Jesus then cures the son.

These and various other verses convinced me that faith is like loving your wife. It’s not always easy, it’s not always because you feel like it. Instead, it is an active, effortful practice.

Christ reinforces belief, not good behavior. That was super challenging to understand.

I hovered over these questions for months. Asking myself, can I do this? Can I try to believe? Tropical Thunder ‘never go full retard’ echoed in my head. Then I committed. Feels good. I’m into it. My faith has grown with the practice.

Science, as a process for asking questions about the universe is powerful. All theories are inadequate and untrue (map rather than territory). Scientism is a tool of propaganda. It can also be a religion for midwits like me.

Times are rough even with the cheat code. I feel for those that don’t know what’s happening.

Absolute grifter. Wonder if he believes his own BS.
