Hey I'm doing my part. Most of my page is just pictures of #woodworking projects I'm doing as well as other things I'm making. Give it time and the full spectrum of human interests will be on here. Just so happened to start from a fringe, it's unsurprising as early as it is that the fringe is still over represented.

Yes, so instead of 500 medium skilled manual labor jobs we get 50 higher skilled and higher paying automation jobs. There are tons of Americans who don't want white collar jobs. IMO for those currently underemployed or unemployed Americans having access to employment like this is great. Not really a fan of using tarrifs to get it, would rather use deregulation but in a world where countries like china subsidize industry I don't find it unreasonable to engage in protectionism back.

Certain parts are automated. The engraving is done in arrays on my lasers. The signholders were also cut on lasers and bent on a thermal line bender. The gluing and flame polish are by hand as is packing. I'm betting that I'll be at longer than 40hr week. Probably more like 65hrs to hit the deadline but day one was 10 hrs and just under 900 parts.
