In other words, it all happened at once. From what we can see, the turning point was March 13, 2020. That was the date of the coup. It was never announced. It just happened. The lockdowns and public panic were the dry ice deployed by magicians to hide their tricks.
Trump was mostly not in charge of anything after that date, which is why he was so anxious to change the subject as the summer months of 2020 approached. At that point, he could not restrain the immense bureaucracy that had taken charge of the country.

The Creator and his creation are ontologically distinct. But I arrive at the same conclusion: a volutary society is best for all. And at the end of the day, provided we can agree on the same Natural Laws to live by, *for a society to function*, it does not much matter how or why we arrive at the same conclusions. That conversation is best had over a pint.
God rules two kingdoms: the common/temporal, and the redemptive/eternal.
His rule for the former is Justice / the law of retribution / the LEX TALIONIS. This law presupposes individual rights, responsibilities, and accountability. This is also called Natural Law.
His rule for the latter (and the latter alone) is grace (though there are important aspects of clemency in the former).
Enemies of God's rule for the common kingdom (or its presuppositions) are enemies of God himself. To war against these enemies is not to enforce Christianity on society, but only to enforce natural law--something that is common to all humanity regardless of faith profession. In this sense alone should we be comfortable with the term "cultural war."

To the smooth-brained Communist, one is either a revolutionary (with them) or a reactionary (against them); a revolutionary "on the right side of [Hegel's god named] History," or a reactionary/heretic working against the revelation/achievement of History: the full consolidation/dis-alienation and return of the many into the primal One.
Their catch-all label for reactionaries is "fascist".
I'm no fascist, but I'll own the label "reactionary" nose to tail. The Triune God alone is The One, and by grace alone redeems the many through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Far from being compatible, Communism and Christianity are *radically* incompatible.
