Bitcoin was a great teacher for me as well. But Monero is what inspires me and nourishes my cypherpunk ethos today.
I like that you used #GM which is often referenced as "Get Monero".
Never used global. It doesn't even make sense as I want to build a net of trusted partners.
Bitcoin is a good store of value, but to protect you from surveillance and tracking you need Monero.
Bitcoin and Monero.
One without the other exposes one to greater risk than necessary.
Independent thinkers choose Monero today. And no one will be able to force you to share those "unfair gains" in the future, because no one knows about your holdings.
For scarcity I prefer Bitcoin.
For privacy I prefer Monero (although it's more scarce than Bitcoin for the next two decades).
I don't have a use for a CBDC as I am not an issuer of fiat money. The only money I currently issue/mine on my CPU's is Monero.
What are the immediate implications?
True. If one is a maxi without seeing the value for ones personal freedom in Monero, you instantly can conclude that this person is in it for NGU in fiat terms.
Those persons are more interested in a well functioning ponzi than adoption of freedom/privacy tech.
I am not sure if I would call digital identities on a corporate owned database - friends.
I prefer real life interaction over SM.
And actual friends will listen to you and follow you to whatever protocol or platform you deem worthy of the conversation between each of you.
You encrypt the scan.
If your social media profile is one click away from being executed it's not worth a dime.
It's best to not invest ones energy in such networks. Let them die from boredom and noise.
Monero's incentives are interesting to. Especially CPU mining and the necessity to run your own node for maximum privacy.
Could be. But letters are not inherently safe from man in the middle attacks.
