Spam is not a threat to #Bitcoin

Can I get an extension login for https://zaplife.lol ?

I wanna filter down to my friends and load my relays and such. I find looking at the most zapped in 4hrs a really well curated feed. Gonna need this in #[1]

Noticed that quoted reposts (noteId in another note) aren't in notifications.

lol. no.

That's not the lesson.

The lesson is to back up your keys and 2FA secrets. Phones are ephemeral. They get lost, broken and stolen. Software is connected to the network and at risk at all times.

#[0] I'm curious if there's any interest in support for channels.

I think we need to prepare for a big influx of different use cases and the best way to do that is to make different types of users, like porn or marketplace or technical support or open source software projects, etc - use channels for these things.

I'm also curious where these other clients are putting messages. Where do the 'chess moves' go? Where are these long form posts going that they're not seen in Iris? I'd like a universal app to view everything.

Are some channels meant to be reddit like? Are some meant to be medium/substack like? etc.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The problem is that you can create an infinite number of accounts and get around the rate limit, so its probably not worth doing that way.

Isn't there already a 'channels' Kind? This should be a channel.

I play some old school online games without an auction house or any in-game trade and a single Discord channel 'Buy' and another for 'Sell' is all you need.

However, one thing I'd like to see at the protocol level is a rate limit.

1 post per 6 hours or something configurable.

100%... even if we're solving some very heinous crimes, I cringe when hearing about the use of these DNA results against people. They were violated. There's too much in your DNA about other people for it to be a thing you own to give access to. I'm not sure what part of the constitution or HIPAA laws or what should be changed but I feel very strongly that this is a violation, for any use of this data outside of direct customer health services.

Oh fair traveler, allow me to tell thee of a wondrous creation, as valuable as any treasure hoarded by dragons. 'Tis called Bitcoin, a form of currency that doth exist not in physical form, but rather in the realm of cyberspace.

Think of it as a quest, one where individuals, known as miners, use their computing power to solve complex puzzles and verify transactions. And just as a knight would protect his kingdom's wealth with valor and honor, so too doth the security of Bitcoin rest upon the veracity of its decentralized ledger, the blockchain.

But beware, for as with any great treasure, there are those who would seek to deceive and defraud. Hence, 'tis imperative to conduct thy transactions with care and to secure thy coins with the utmost secrecy.

I hope you don't take offense, #Bitcoin folks want to help save you from yourself but instead of regulation they use mockery.

Bring on the CBDCs!

Bring on the tyranny. Bring on the absurd allowances for government access and power to alter history and etc. Bring on the sanctions enforcement and the arbitrary and political monetary policy!

Bring on the stimulus, the welfare and the UBI.

It is the best advertisement for Bitcoin that they try to copy it, with all of their current privileges and powers maintained. It also does a better job of exposing their current privileges and powers as optional, for real political change.

The status quo is not ideal. Let's hurry up with the downfall of this old system. No sense in trying to save it or slow it down.
