Spam is not a threat to #Bitcoin

I think it's specifically the 'redefining society' part that we have a problem with. Find yourself, but go alone, like every other great explorer. Don't ask the whole of society to 'find itself' with you. That's where it becomes a campaign and an intrusion, not liberty.

Someone shouldn't care what people think, if they are 'finding their truth'. The fact that they care so much about other people betrays their true motives. To stimulate change. That is where anyone can legitimately start criticizing anything they say, as it relates to their proposed changes for society/others.

#[0] Great job, with the zaplife.lol site.

This is what they mean when they say "no landing", a plateau at 3-4%

Honestly, this is the smart move on their part but their 'credibility' is at state. They'll blow up the economy to save face. This is why central planning is never ever, any any scenario better than market forces and liberty.

If these were sent in a DM style but separate channel (to keep things clean) they'd be encrypted and only available to the one publishing the note that's being seen. This isn't really useful for anyone else, like a 'like' or reaction is typically.

Secrecy is not a strategy for preventing this discovery from having a dramatic impact on the world. Its a trick. It will have an impact, regardless.

The one who has the knowledge is therefore and perpetually advantaged over all others in the world. Are they so benevolent and good as to be trusted with perpetual advantage?

This advantage will play out in ways that you can't predict. You can't control what decades or centuries of disadvantage will produce for everyone else.

Control is an illusion. You can't control access to technology or knowledge or even resources. It's inevitably a failure, and then another has advantage over most everyone.

You can, however, prepare yourself and get your own power. Make sure you're expensive to attack. Make sure the gain is small and the cost is high. If everyone has this power, instead of the 1-2 who managed to develop it or steal it, then it doesn't matter when the next person learns it. Also, everyone has prepared for it. They have bunkers, masks and other tools to minimize the damage in an attack.

Disagree with the scale limit, in design considerations. If someone is willing to pay for it, especially, with work or satoshis, the system should scale to handle it, like any economy does to a population. As you said, we're not doing money/finance, so we can give up some things. Scale is one we want back in a global chat/speech system.

#Nostr isn't making guarantees about censorship, no, but it does make tools available to verify. Perfection is the enemy of the good here. We can't give up scale so we shouldn't try to get a guarantee. We can still verify. If you go to another connection and act like another user, you can check your visibility. It would be nice to augment the protocol, I think, to make it better at detecting and prompting a verification check.

If you're being censored or moderated, make a change in relays. That power to the users is the economic means of enforcement in #Nostr, where we lack a more rigid protocol level verification and enforcement of censorship resistance.

There are always other means available to reach users, even within #Nostr itself, like you've mentioned in another post a DM with ack requested would be hard to censor. It is sufficiently functional.

What do you guys think of adding a 'seen' reaction. That only means you saw it. Maybe even automatically reacting to every post with seen. Optional of course.

If clients used and made this reaction available, ideally discretely, it would notify someone to moderation or de-prioritization or other stealth censorship. Currently you wouldn't really know unless you made an effort to view as someone else.

Liking serves another purpose, though, on Nostr, of notifying the sender that they're seen. It's not totally clear, on Nostr, if you're writing to relays that are used by enough people.

Everyone start the week off good, and it'll stay good. Don't let others attitude drag you down. Pura Vida, keep grinding and stacking #bitcoin #nostr #plebchain

I think the certainty with which one can predict Bitcoin's future monetary police is one of the things that should be front and center when trying to educate. Combined with the total addiction to easy money that the governments and economies of the world have, certainty is deserved.

So how do you ensure they see this fundamental truth. The need to protect themselves from this addiction and that Bitcoin fixes this, without appearing to be too overconfident. I'm not overconfident. I'm certain.

I use free relays, so I can't comment on good paid relays.

use https://nostr.band to see what relays are seeing which messages. The stats page also shows how many users/messages are being seen there.

I find nos.lol is extremely valuable as it is an aggregator and a normal free relay. nostr.band is also an aggregator but I don't think it performs as a normal relay, yet.

The term is already in use. Decentralization Everything. Centralization is the enemy, keep that in the term. Make people struggle to defend anything centralized while the benefits of Decentralization stares right back at them.

Do I need to do anything, now that WoS supports zaps?

Law Enforcement is not meant to perform prevention, in a free society or world. It is response. It is a check, to restore balance in the cost function for the next criminal.

There is no violation of rights or property in sharing knowledge of any kind. No one owns 'intellectual property'. If my brain can know it and share it, it's not theirs to own. Knowing how is not doing. Knowing how is merely preparation and everyone deserves to be able to prepare themselves as completely as possible.

If everyone could launch a nuclear weapon in response to a personal threat, there would be no personal threats.
