When we get to point where we're fighting AIs in the street, I'm going to use an enormous wrench, for irony.

Unfortunately I think it's relativistic where we can identify "evil" fairly well, but "good" can only be measured against that. Like we can suggest a lot of the R power structure is "evil" to some extent or other, but doesn't mean the D power structure is "good", only "better". So I think it's possible to identify pure "evil" but not pure "good" (This is just a thought experiment)

The R power structure is innately evil because it's selfish, designed to address the needs of a select few. The D power structure is good because it's generous, designed to address the needs of the largest number of people.

I sometimes like to use the word dinosaur as a unit of measurement just to see who wants to tell me that DINOSAURS CAME IN A LOT OF DIFFERENT SIZES.
I'm at the stage where I'm going through news feeds looking for something like, "Benevolent Aliens Confirmed as Extra-Terrestrials Hurl Indicted Former President Into Space.'

Maybe this goes without saying but if you haven't listened to Further Joy by The Regrettes (and need an antidote to an angry, cynical society) you're really missing out.

thank you. I clicked on "@ Private Mentions" but that's not the ticket I gather.
nostr:npub1cm8rf05gdat6qus8ynphsdmufahfg9pmhsaygnrrmghuff9vz7aqzgzjyl I think your best bet is the three dots to the right of their profile picture. There should be an option for a direct message. If you click the globe option while posting, you should be able to choose who sees it. It's my understanding that "private" messages aren't technically possible here and genuinely personal exchanges should use encryption.

this is a private message, correct? I'm not 100% sure of Mastodon yet.
