They punish the smart and hard working and encourage people to be unwise and lazy. Theft is theft.

Taxation is theft, but so also is making borrowers with good credit and large down payments pay higher rates and fees so that borrowers with bad credit and little or no down payment can have lower rates and fees. This is encouraging bad behavior.
If I was borrowing now (I have a paid off forever home, so hopefully will never happen again), I'd borrow with a very low down payment (riskier for banks) and then with my first payment, pay a bunch extra to get me over the 20% necessary to not have the extra insurance (forget what its called). There are ways to get around this nonsense, none of which is good for borrowers or the banks or the economy.
The US is run by total incompetents who don't have a clue about how anything works and who makes emotional decisions that cause horrible side effects.
The only good news (for me) is maybe our government's actions will so screw up the real estate market that I can buy some investment/rental property for real cheap.
I used to have a stump like that outside my house, only it was 2-3 times the diameter of that one and probably shorter. The Canadian geese flying through loved sitting on top of that. It brings back memories.
Sadly a crazy grass fire, fueled by 60+ mph winds vaporized the stump and our house. Is it funny that I miss that stump?

It seems like every time we put sanctions on Russia, the long term effect is Russia getting stronger and the US/G7/EU/$ getting weaker and having less influence over the world.
Will our "leaders" ever learn?
Bunny droppings are garden gold. My garden was the best ever last year and I'd just gotten bunnies. I expect things to get better and better over time.
In Wyoming, our snow has finally melted, but we got some as recently as yesterday and 2.5 weeks ago we got more than 3 feet.
I've had the same problem with not getting around to it. I meant to harvest my mint last year, but never did.
I'd think drying it is best and you can use it as a tea or blended with other herbs for a tea.
I don't know what is best, air dry, dehydrated, or freeze dried. I was going to try freeze drying, but I don't know if the vacuum process would suck all of the oils out of it and make it tasteless. You might be better off just air drying it.

Politicians lie.
This makes you think twice about a self driving or smart car, even if you pay your bills. If Ford can hijack your car, so can someone else, especially the government. It kind of makes me long for a 1990s car.

Thanks for the advice. I was leaning towards hair sheep because I figured that would be the easiest. Our yard is mostly grassland with a few small fruit trees and a few large cottonwoods. I had a bunch more fruit trees, but a massive grass fire vaporized all but the biggest and oldest. I've planted a few new ones, but none have produced yet. Hopefully this year.
For our life, raising feeder lambs would be better, but I like the idea of raising year round so we can provide for ourselves if things keep going in the direction they currently are. We'll see.
I also need to work out something with the water. We live on the river, but it is a low bluff, so it isn't directly accessible for livestock. In theory we have an irrigation ditch running through our yard as well, but it doesn't run all of the time either, especially in the winter.
I would think 6a would be fine.
I live in a river valley and the cold sinks down into the valley and gets colder than our official zone. When you add 60+ mph winds multiple times during the winter, it can be brutal on man and trees/plants. Our harsh weather keeps the crowds away though.
I agree with Sir Libre, living in the country helps you not feel guilty when you don't mow as often as you should or don't snow shovel your front walk (since nobody uses it). Unfortuately, the yard is larger when you do get around to mowing.
I'm hoping to get another Doe soon. I'm looking for a Californian or New Zealand or meat mutt.
I only have one buck and one doe (planning to get more). We had our first kits a couple of weeks ago. I'm loving it. Bunny poop is absolutely amazing for the garden and worth doing just for the fertilize.
I think I made a bit of a mistake and got really sweet, cute Giant Chinchillas. As pets they are amazing, but it is going to be harder to kill the bunnies for food than any other animal we could've picked. (We've raised chickens but had to get rid of them due to me developing a lunch sensitivity which made me unable to breathe and my husband hunts and at least guts everything he shoots) Neither of us is looking forward to killing them. I should have gotten Californians or New Zealands that make great meat rabbits, but aren't nearly as cute.

Some years ago, I got 3 mulberry trees even though they were iffy in my area. Officially we are zone 4b/5a, but I've found I have to buy zone 3 rated trees to have them survive long term. This past winter we got down to -35.6 F. Every year they would come back, but they would get so much winter kill that they never produced anything. Finally the massive grass fire that burnt down our house put them out of their misery.
