I didn't hear the result, but that sounds right. That is what happens every single time. The Democrats never negotiate in good faith because experience has shown the Republicans will cave and compromise their supposed principles every time. I don't think most of the Republican politicians actually have principles, they just put on a show for the voters and then give the radical Democrats what they wanted.
Republicans don't know how to negotiate (or don't care). Whenever there is a negotition, Republicans ask for what they want. Democrats ask for some crazy extremist leftist something and then they end up compromising right where the Democrats expected (and probably wanted) to be.
We can't count on politics to solve our problems. It is up to us to take care of ourselves and our own.
I don't know much about him, but the few things I've seen, he looks good.
Of course I don't expect fair elections, so it doesn't really matter.
I read a lot when I was a kid and I still read a lot.
Sorry. I was being sarcastic. I love the idea of the app, but I can already see not being able to find it when I need it.
... but how do you search for the note that has the app that searches notes? π€
It hurt for a second, but then not really. When you get a 3rd degree burn, it is so deep it kills all of the nerves, so you don't really feel anything except maybe at the edges. It was so bad, I thought I'd be scarred for life, but there is only a faint discoloration at this point. I'm betting by the end of the year, even that will be gone. It is amazing that I could have such a deep hole in my hand, but that it can heal completely.
It ended up pouring right when I was about to head out. It doesn't make sense to go out and work in the mud, so the rest will have to wait for tomorrow afternoon.
I tend to use weed barrier with perennials because I put it in and ignore it for a long time. I tend to not use weed barrier in annual beds because there is constant change so the weed barrier seems like it is in the way as much as it helps, but maybe that is just me.
I much prefer to read about information than to watch a video or to listen to something (although it can be handy to listen to a podcast while I am doing something physical like working in my garden). It is usually faster to get the key information. It is silent. It is easier to get to the information that I really want and skip what doesn't interest me. I find most video to take forever to get the information. Of course some how-to videos are good.
I spent an hour and a half pulling weeds in the garden (I've been too busy recently and was out of town for 5 days). I decided it was time to take a break and eat lunch. I opened my sliding glass door, stepped through the door, turned to close the door, and it started raining. I'd call that good timing.
I don't think it rained hard, so I'm hoping I can go out and work a bit more this afternoon.

Smoked salmon, cream cheese, & spinach omelet cooked in butter an seasoned with Redmon real salt, fresh ground pepper, tumeric, garlic powder, and chopotle powder. So good. I will admit I got distracted by kids so the eggs were slightly over cooked, but it was still great. One trick is to get everything to the point of first picture, then add a splash of water and cover with a lid. The steam eats the stuff on top and causes the eggs to puff up.

lots. I copied all of my relays from Iris to Snort so I could see the same stuff.

Every once in a while the courts rule rightly.
I planted a whole packet of mint maybe 4 years ago. I got one tiny plant that year and thought I did something wrong or got a bad packet. The next year, the small bed (between the pad of my A/C and my sidewalk about 2.5' x 5' had lots of plants. Now the bed is overgrown with mint. I will have more mint than I could ever use.
I'm not an expert, but this is what I know:
It is a dynamic accumulator so is great for compost.
It also can be used in a salve to heal wounds. I got a 3rd degree burn when cleaning out ash from my wood/coal stove and had a burning coal fall inside my glove (estimated temp is 1600 F). About a week after the burn when I still had a huge hole in my hand (see picture below), I put comfrey salve (Dr. Christophers) and it mostly healed up in a little more than a week. Now (3.5 months later) there is only a slight discoloration that lets you know there had been a wound of some kind. It seemed miraculous how fast my hand healed when I started putting the comfrey salve on my hand. FYI, I also put some manuka honey (from day 1), and a mix of manuka honey, collagen, and sovereign silver on it (starting 2 days after starting the comfrey salve.
Some people use it in animal feed, but you can't feed too much because it has a compound (I'm forgetting the name at the moment) that can be toxic in large quantities, so I think most people keep it to less than 5% of feed.

Can anyone help me? I have gotten frustrated because the Iris feed keeps scrolling so it is hard to read. I got snort set up to use. I had problems at first, but now I'm seeing my feed, but it won't accept any likes or comments. I don't know what to use. Iris scrolls by so it is hard to read, but I can easily respond to people. Snort is easy to read, but won't let me respond with likes or comments. Grrrr.

I love old brick buildings.
I'll spend a bit more to get a good rabbit and especially for the advice. The thing I hate is having to drive for hours and hours to pick up the rabbit which is common where I live since I live in the center of the 5th largest, but least populous state. Our entire state is only five hundred thousand something people and the nearest city over 100,000 is 3+ hours away. I don't have time to drive 3+ hours each way.
Wyoming.
We actually have the 2nd shortest growing season in the US after Alaska, so getting the planting timing is critical. I've been wanting to put in a in ground wafiti/greenhouse (Oler style), but I don't feel we have the knowledge to safely do it ourselves and it is expensive to have someone else do it, so I haven't done it yet.
We also need to remember that just because kids are at school for more time doesn't mean that the kids are getting more teaching time. When you count time between classes, kid disruptions, teacher dealing with individual kids, lunch, P.E., etc. it is amazing how much unproductive time exists. If you add teachers putting in filler time, frequently less than half of the time is actually productive learning time. If you take out the time wasted on P.C. garbage, it is even worse.
