After a solid week on #nostr I don't think there is a way back to traditional social media for me.

I go back just to realize that I completely don't get it.

There is no value, just endless noise, psyop and propaganda. There is hardly any discussion but trolls..trolling each other and people shouting over one another.

I prefer #value4value model and space where I have time to think, absorb and contribute.

Another day hacking damus android on this $150 phone (galaxy a14). I’ve never added universe firehose mode to damus ios due to performance concerns, but this crappy phone doesn’t break a sweat so I guess thats no longer a concern.

Currently improving the rust mobile ecosystem by trying to pop up an android keyboard on screen, which is apparently an unsolved problem for rust mobile projects.

I just had a comment removed from instagram for violating their community standards. Apparently they think I’m spamming for mentioning Unicode I guess. Honestly I’m not sure. It was in response to a instagram rule asking why the kiwi bird isn’t an emoji.

I posted it once, and to a instagram post from someone I’m following. I don’t think I’ve made a comment about Unicode or emojis on instagram before.

getting up to speed on cryptography for privacy preserving internet protocols. Lots of interesting stuff involving oblivious transfer, multiparty computation, private information retrieval, private set intersection. I wonder if we can leverage any of these techniques for improving privacy on nostr 🤔
