After a solid week on #nostr I don't think there is a way back to traditional social media for me.
I go back just to realize that I completely don't get it.
There is no value, just endless noise, psyop and propaganda. There is hardly any discussion but trolls..trolling each other and people shouting over one another.
I prefer #value4value model and space where I have time to think, absorb and contribute.

i think there remains to be seen disclosures about real culpability in hiring bounty hunters for discovery. there are a lot of layers to the most recent endeavors, mostly arrogance and sloppy assumptions by salvo and others piggybacked onto it with their own bounty to see what they could get/learn. he no longer has access to anything associated with me. regardless: i am busy. i know all about it. i have things to do.

mostly correct... there is still a lot of people in the mindset of influencoors and follower counts and such but we have far more control over our feed and reach here, it's much more organic
even though i sometimes screech at people who i see as saying stupid things (usually technical) it actually works out somewhat to favour my influence because some people find it entertaining to listen to smackdowns

I love seeing new Nostriches get it. When it clicks, it clicks. Traditional social media has ruined many aspects of being social online. Here, we're just humans being humans.
It changed so many things for worse. It messed with people's minds, bodies and understanding of reality..the model really hurt so many humans..very destructive force. Nostr is a paradigm shift that you get when you start to participate as it is even impossible to convince people that it isn't just another social media scum. Glad I dived deeper.
I am 100% with you on that. Centralized social media is an absolute cesspool of all kinds of bad things I wouldn't even dare to engage in. Decentralizing, like what we're doing here, is the only way forward.
Now I see it as a massive PsyOp thing...100% controlled by different agencies.
