I have to say I respect Primal's approach of NOT "moving fast and breaking things."
They don't have all the features because they're making sure it all works first.
Web client feels further ahead in development. Android app feels a bit glitchy. Most of the settings still missing. etc.
Looking forward to seeing what comes of it in the future but I don't think it's ready for daily use yet.

Agreed 100% about Amethyst. I stuck with it despite the instability because it has all the features. I likely will keep it installed but use another client with fewer features and more reliability as my daily driver.
Very easy to onboard people to it as well. Just install and generate an ID. Boom. Done. It's become surprisingly popular in multiple circles of less techie people who want some anonymity for this reason.
Yes exactly. You can do this on the Mullvad Android app too in the settings. I use it on mobile to exclude banking apps from the VPN otherwise they can get weird and lock me out.
You should be able to do the same on any platform except for iOS... Apple has locked it down so you can't do split tunnelling on the device.
Btw here is the Amethyst crash thread I mentioned. It mentions Graphene but it happens on all Android devices I tried it on.

Sadly the Amethyst crashing bug has been there for a long long time now.
Lmk what mobile client you land on, I've been meaning to branch out myself. You're far from the only one to have that crashing issue. Was a long thread of people with the exact same complaint just last week. I can find it if you want.
I've been out the loop for a bit due to irl shit so not even sure what Spring is. I know Amber is a signer so you don't need to put your nsec into apps, right?

What are you trying next? Amethyst has been unstable for a while, slows down before it crashes so feels like a memory leak. I know a lot of extra dev work has gone into Primal recently, might check out their mobile client.
