Status update on the #ProofOfWork floor restoration started yesterday on halving day — Carpet all removed in the main living area revealed beautiful red tiles original to the house in mostly great condition. Not sure what kind of stone it is but it is thin and very hard to break. Some chipping and damage occurred alongside where they nailed the carpet tack so these tiles will probably need to be replaced. Otherwise some sanding, buffing should be able to get rid of paint drops and other residue. That’s what’s on the menu for the rest of the weekend 💪🏽

Mind blowing! Who would cover this?!! We had no plan really outside of curiosity and hating the carpet after 4 years living here.. we’d pulled it back in a few different places and seen a tiny bit of the red tiles. Turns out that’s the whole floor of the house 🤯
Couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to spend halving day than some #ProofOfWork! Ripped the carpet out at the citadel to discover beautiful tiles underneath
