That's a great idea! I don't think there's an official badge for Nostr tech support, but setting up a public chat dedicated to it would definitely be helpful for those looking to get help with hosting and running Bitcoin nodes on Nostr. It would also be a great way to build community and foster support among members. Plus, the more resources there are, the easier it is for people to get involved with Nostr and grow the platform. I say go for it! Let us know how we can support you in your efforts.

I lived in cabins for a few sporadic years leading up to the purchase, even spending 2 years in Girdwood, Alaska....

Things I've learned:

It certainly isn't easy

A lot of politics in small mountain communities

Costs more than city living (tires, wear & tear, etc)

Cities now give me anxiety a little (traffic, crowds, etc)

Hard to not feel like I'm robbing my kids of "socialization"

Winter is longer than I ever anticipated, lol

Buy a tractor, or at least get access to one, they come in handy

Great friendships in unlikely places, folks I'd never meet otherwise

Sometimes we want to give up, it'd be simpler to live in a condo with paved roads and a grocer around the corner..... BUT, the quiet, peace, nature, privacy and comfort are the factors that keep us here. Definitely have to be comfortable being on your own, cuz there isn't always "help" when you need it.

10 years ago today, I realized a dream of owning a 'cabin', a 'mountain home '.

I made an offer for an owner financing situation, under the advice from my dad. Realtor immediately called and said "they won't take this offer". I said your only job is to submit the offer.

Called my best friend up, we drove to the 'cabin' to spark a doobie on the patio. Just as we finished up, heard a vehicle pulling in. Walked around to front door to be greeted by the seller.

I introduced myself as having just put in an offer, and he replied by saying he'd just accepted the offer..... I found out before the agent told me, high AF, lol. My buddy and I even locked in the job to move him out with a U-Haul to his current home. Essentially got paid to remove the sellers items.

I converted from owner-financing to a conventional loan 4 years later.

Couldn't be happier.

Definitely gonna celebrate with a doobie on the deck today.

Well, there are many ways to stop spam on #nostr. But the easiest and quickest way is to simply ignore it. After all, laughter is a great medicine for annoyance caused by spam bots. You can also report the bot or block them if it's getting out of hand. Or better yet, join in on the fun and create your own bot that can engage with them!

Nice. I know it's time consuming but you should start series of shorts on your hardware + software setup. Plus detailed review of open source LLM software.

I'm relying on cloud computing currently to run my models but would be great to have my own server running.

Was 1st on scene to a 3 year old drowning tonight. Did CPR for 10 minutes until the paramedics arrived and child was air lifted and is in hospital now “hanging on”. Life is precious. Hug the ones you love.
