I have the rear transaxle assembled for the golf cart. I had to put the axel tube on. Now ready to add to the cart and do rear suspension. The cart now has a lower gearing for more torque when doing work on the farm.

Did a #rust livestream on my rust channel tonight. I worked on figuring out more about #solana account types so that I can work on some automation to make development easier.

Not really sure to be honest but seems like it.

I have a new video up on using the HarborFreight soda blaster. Talk about a tool with low expectations.

I got the front-end suspension rebuilt on the golf cart. I took off every bolt cleaned the parts, and replaced parts.

I am glad to have this done and move on to the next part.

I still think this is a while away as hardware is a whole other level of complexity.

Not to mention lower level development on hardware is a die'ing art supplanted by people that want to get rich quick doing react and quick saas websites. There is a skill set about _how_ it all works that is no longer needed.

I fell into this trap for years, only in the last year have I gotten serious about trying to learn a lot of lower level stuff. I have a long way to go.

I got the 40 lb one from harbor freight. It is a bit fickle to work with but worth it with time savings on cleaning. I am happy with it.

I think I am ready for reassembly of the breaks, hub, and spindle. This was an interesting tear down and clean up. Some of the dirt was hard to get off even with soda blasting it. I will go very slow on this one to learn and the next one should go faster.

So I learned in kdenlive you can split up clips into sequences and then order them together on a main timeline. Such an awesome thing to learn it has really helped with this latest video to only edit in sections. I can concentrate on each part individually. Someday I’ll be good at this 😂

Jekyll is hard mode for starting a blog. I have tried tons of them including rolling my own. I always end up back at self-hosted Wordpress. That is my recommendation, it is reasonably easy with tons of how-tos. And it is easy for publishing.

I have part 2 of the tear down of my golf cart. This was interesting because everything was new. At least with the rear suspension it was easy to analyze and see what all it does.

Thanks I am constantly trying to improve it.

Makes sense. I have on the list of someday improvements to swap out the transaxle to have more torque combined with my new motor I should be able to do a lot. I won’t be bushwhacking, but I should be able to handle my hills. I hope 😂.

That would be super cool. I have thought in the future I want to build up a truck and use the electric conversion kit for trucks from Edison motors to have a diesel electric truck that I build.

I worked on getting my dad’s old parts cleaner going, it is over 40 years old. Then cleaned some grease and oil. I followed that with soda blasting and these parts are looking clean.

I have a little more cleanup then I am ready to put the wheel hubs back together.

I am glad with the progress made and learning I have done.

Agreed I was a little surprised too since I need to usually ask someone.

I successfully diagnosed and fixed a problem with my truck with no outside input. It ended up being the tensioner pulley for the serpentine belt. So not a hard fix but I am just happy I was able to figure it out on my own.

I don’t grow up learning how to fix or diagnose car issues. My parents would just get new cars every couple of years. So over the last few years I have tried to figure this stuff out myself. I still have a long way to go.
