A broken shifter pedal quickly turned into a bigger job. A lesson in the hidden cost of being rammy. Seems like Iāve learned this one beforeā¦

Wonderful! I wish I could grow persimmons where Iām at!
Thatās exciting! Way more action than watching seeds sprout!
Iāll check it out. Finding it to be a PITA to find a wallet to integrate with nostr in Canadastan
We made this greenhouse from an old carport frame by adding some poly held down with c-channel and wiggle wire. This 10x20ā greenhouse produced enough produce in a season to pay for itself. Currently, weāre using it as a winter shelter for our ducks.

This is what real milk looks like.
Our calves are now weaned, so I'm taking 5L of milk from our dairy cow every day. nostr:nprofile1qqsvpcxyyusnfkfd4pj3v5xppjnp9dcs5ecdtczrfz8j0crn58mr59spz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6mmd9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tctcr3a8 has upped the production of cream, butter, cheese, icecream and yoghurt.
Our kitchen just levelled up.

Beautiful! Iāve almost got my wife convinced of a dairy cow to help feed the growing kiddos!
We left the city a couple years ago and are at the point where weāre raising 100% of our own pork and chicken in a way that makes us happy to feed it to our children. Our orchard is in its infancy and weāre getting better at gardening every year, although the learning curve was a little steep. The percentage of our food that we produce is going up by the year and the more we do this, the simpler weāve realized that life can be. Itās rewarding and tastes better too!
Yeah, practice is practice! Iām looking to give it a try with some of the printings from my small orchard this spring. Iām sure my first go at it will have limited success, even with appropriate rootstockš
