Had to ask AI what this meant and here's the breakdown:
What Was EO 13961 About?
Issued by Trump in December 2020, EO 13961 was called the "Governance and Integration of Federal Mission Resilience."
It was part of continuity of government planning, ensuring that key government functions keep running in case of a crisis (like war, cyberattacks, or a national emergency).
Some believe it created a system where power could be decentralized to different government agencies, allowing them to operate even if traditional leadership (like the president) was incapacitated.
What Did Biden Just Do?
On January 19, 2025 (right before Trumpās possible return), Biden revoked several key parts of this order.
Some sections were completely deleted, while others were rewritten and renumbered.
This means Bidenās team adjusted the rules about how government continuity works in emergencies.
Why Are People Talking About "Devolution"?
"Devolution" is a conspiracy theory that claims Trump never really left power and that a secret government plan was keeping control behind the scenes.
Some followers of this theory believed EO 13961 was proof of this hidden power structure, keeping Trump or his allies in charge.
Biden's decision to revoke or rewrite parts of it is being interpreted by some as "ending devolution", though thereās no solid proof that such a plan ever existed.
Whatās the Real Takeaway?
Every president reviews and updates past executive orders to align with their administrationās policies.
The revocation of EO 13961 likely has nothing to do with Trump staying in power or "devolution."
Instead, itās just Biden adjusting federal emergency plansāsomething that happens often when a new president takes office or when security policies are reassessed.

It's been sometime since I held a camera encased in a Porta Brace. š„²
Instagram and Twitter are and have been gone for awhile. Still have a LinkedIn and Facebook though. š ... should probably get rid of those. They're unused and not updated in many moons now though.
Like bitcoin, it's open source and without central control - it follows the "rules without rulers" ethos.
Companies I could see needing to use traditional social networks still though, but individuals who don't want to be prayed upon and shilled to at every turn would probably enjoy less noise and more signal over here.
Austin, Texas seemed to have a lot of digital nomads when I was there last in December. Loved the vibes of the city too.
Well...

I don't like the 9:16 (short form) framing one bit either. It's a scourge and should die off. Sadly it gets eyeballs though compared to long form though.
Long form 16:9 content any day.
True that! The waters fine over here on Nostr š„š„š„.
When Nostr only? š

They sure will!
I'm currently on this journey. It's good but tough. Real world relationships are being mended as I'm being the bigger person in both family and friend circles. I win & they win.
As long as exchanges are around folks like him will just buy bitcoin, send that bitcoin to get the goods, services, etc. that they want. When the exchanges dry up though...š¬... then the game changes.
I also cannot zap you. š¤

On my screen, it looks like nobody answered you in the first 2+ hours. I've been taking a break from asknostr where my active interest in nostr and willingness to help people often result in me ending up as tech support for Primal in addition to having paid for Primal Legends, while they reward me with shit like taking the "my tribe" feed away and blocking me from using the "advanced search" and meanwhile I'm subjected to constant harassment by nostr users who pretend I contribute nothing of value.
Thanks for the answer, that's great to know!
I'm not super in the weeds about about any of that. š . But at least your response here was great - so thanks for the answer!
100%
The non-bitcoiners in my life are all losing their minds right now with everything that's happened since January first. There's so many things that have or are happening. One of them even made a reference to how this all feels like the end times of Rome.
Here I am just continuing to build and staying the course. Keeping up a bit with all these headlines is exhausting but at least I'm getting the TLDR on most of them without focusing too much.
What a year 2025 already is. š
"birdwatcher" or "birder" would be the term to use here.
Source: My wife is a birdnerd and we go out birdwatching often. š
Not that I'm aware of. But if you can that would be a great option.
