So you harvest and just let dry all winter and then get the kernels off when dry? This is my first year with corn.
What happens in the mealworm shed?
Glad it’s not just me
Yes, they go in raw and unwashed. Don’t need to be refrigerated. Mix of water and lime. They have to be clean. This is my first time trying. But, people who have tried it said they last 12 months easy. The texture might change slightly the longer you leave then.
Very cool idea. I have worms and rabbits. Might try to figure something similar out.
Are they tomatoes? How cold did it get?
The worms live below the rabbit cages? Is this outside all year round?
First time water glassing eggs. Finally got duck eggs clean enough to try this method. Apparently you’re supposed to put them pointy end down but i found that pretty much impossible.

Yup, in the next few days. I started them in the greenhouse and wasn’t sure how many would germinate so I put a few seeds in each cell. But, thinning is so hard to do.
Started tomatillos for the first time this year and they’re doing great. Any tips for growing? In in Maine, Zone 5.
