If I am to be sacrificed for my neighbor, on what grounds can you blame him for speeding along the proceedings and sacrificing me himself?

I think people have generally been pretty positive when I say I only eat meat

It helps that I've lost a ton of weight and added muscle, so those who know me can see immediately that I'm healthier

"Modern intellectuals are comparable to a psychopath who murders for kicks. They seek the thrill of the new; and the new, to them, is the negative. The new is obliteraion, obliteration of the essential in every field; they have no interest in anything to take its place. Thus the uniqueness of the century behind us: philosophy gleefully rid of system-building, education based on the theory that cognition is harmful, science boastful of its inability to understand, art which expelled beauty, literature which flaunted antiheroes, language “liberated” from syntax, verse “free” of meter. nonrepresentational painting, atonal music, unconscious psychology, deconstruction in literary criticism, indeterminancy as the new depth in physics, incompleteness as the revelation in mathematics–a void everywhere that was acclaimed by the avante-garde with the metaphysical chuckle. It was the sound of triumph, the triumph of the new anti-ideal: of the unknowable, the unreachable, the unendurable."

More to the point, a moral code which glorifies the sacrifice of human beings (whether supposedly also divine or not) is twisted and evil

"A man has no greater love than this, that he lay down his life for his friends"

I am no sacrificial animal, and I regard as twisted and evil a moral code which glorifies my assuming that role.

I think you can eat carnivore for under $10 per day on 70/30 ground beef, eggs, cream, plus some cheap lean meats like chicken or mussels

Glenn is a civil libertarian as well as a welfare statist (if not outright communist)

These positions are contradictory, hence his confusion as one group of fellow travelers suddenly abandons him

It's understandable, though, because the welfare statists (and communists) in the US have long loudly insisted that they are the true liberals

The Feds are in much more trouble than most subsidiary jurisdictions

According to usdebtclock.org the Federal debt per citizen is over $100k

The State debt per citizen is under $4k

The local debt per citizen is about $7300

You're probably right that some will go bust, but I would guess not many

The ultimate ground of my beliefs is experience - I set my leg on the ground and it proves to be solid. I then interpret these experiences according to reason.

Is there such a rock on which your church is built? I know they like to say there is, but is there really? Or is it just faith (meaning: a decision to believe in the absence of evidence or reason) ?
