If sharing a goal puts you off your goal because the tiniest domaine hit from sharing it obliterates the will to take the first step in achieving it. Was it even really your goal to begin with?

Yeah, like most advice, it tends to really be tailored to the giver and their needs. Different people require different things to be successful in reaching their goals. My personal belief is there is a lot more to be gained by sharing goals with people than holding them all close to your chest. A good middle ground could be to share your short term goals, guard your long term goals, until they become short term. And you can pick who you want to share with. There’s no law that sharing means you have to share with the whole world.

I got you, brother. Planning an Italian sausage pie for football season.

I’m curious! What is it that turns you off?

All pies? Or just fruit pies? I know some people that don’t like fruit pies. This crust was really difficult - I tried to make it really dry and paid the price. I mean, it was really good but almost unworkable.

Well, I didn’t get the last piece. I got the kale, honey and blueberry smoothie this morning. But, it was a good pie. And enjoyed by all.

nostr:npub1kumadawgefxjt2c293whsan5sfmdg5tylm0uk39enc6uxxfy5m4scrz2v7 is going in for surgery tomorrow to remove a mammary tumor.

Should be a straightforward procedure. 🤞

Regardless, hugging this girl extra close until then.

Aww, pretty girl. Speedy recovery doggo!

Was busy chowing down and almost forgot! Breakfast, Day 3 of peach pie. There will be negotiations on who gets the last piece tomorrow morning. #foodstr

Good morning! Peach pie for breakfast again. Even better the next day. #foodstr

Oh the peaches are prevalent! But this is probably the fifth one I’ve made. While I could certainly keep slinging them, I better move on to other things if I want the kid to eat it.

It certainly has helped me. Your questions have been a lightning rod for useful information on how to get going with Nostr.

The last peach pie of the season is always a little bittersweet. #foodstr

Oh, I’ve done this before! Am on board with breaking free. You suggested something like a personal/limited relay right? Doesn’t solve the scrolling issue but limits the pool of potential distractions, I guess. Seems like it will always come down to intent though - being deliberate in where I would allow myself to become distracted.

Also diving more into this and looking for videos and guides. Some goals: run a relay, figure out zapping and verification - still can’t zap anyone, and there seem to be a lot of options, with trade offs, so find the combination I like. nostr:note18fx42av2wnq9pqdequcrstm7qeatz06ewffemuu3n57txce6ekdqjnjxlf

I feel you nostr:npub1qdjn8j4gwgmkj3k5un775nq6q3q7mguv5tvajstmkdsqdja2havq03fqm7. So far it has been a breath of fresh air on here. The heavy weight of agendas was stifling on old social media. My hope is it stays more true on this side of the internets. nostr:note1gcyt9a4ntrknzjdlasd4u7yay4qmh4mjklxgxq0kmt79fxger4tsc774pn

Lol! Going to close the Nostr for a bit. I’ll be back in 30 pages or so.

Do we need a different term? I always thought doomscrolling was being trapped in a continuous stream of negativity, hate, hurt. Don’t see much of that on here. How about hopescrolling?

I think I’m following the point though. Scrolling is a great way to find new/unexpected things but that taps right into the dopamine. Would be great to switch between scrolling and something else for focus!

Good night! #foodstr Coffee and pie for breakfast…
