Some old friends from my college years moved to my town recently. Spent the entire afternoon sitting on the porch catching up with them. I love days like this.
It certainly feels taboo to me, but I think one of the other replies hit the nail on the head describing it as the “crab mentality.” I found this meme that sums it up well. “You can’t win unless it means I can win.” “We don’t do that around here.” “Not in my city, punk.” The unwritten NIPs of nostr, if you will. 😂
