🔬 Your brain can watch itself think and improve. 🧠 #meditation

Neuroscience shows that the highest form of intelligence is not raw IQ or fast thinking. It is #metacognition. That means your ability to notice your own thoughts, question them, and adjust them in real time.

When you pause and ask why am I thinking this, your brain activates areas in the prefrontal cortex linked to self awareness and control. These regions help you spot mistakes, rethink assumptions, and choose better responses. Studies consistently show that people with strong metacognitive skills learn faster, solve problems more effectively, and adapt better under stress.

Think of it like a mirror inside your mind. Instead of being carried away by every thought, you can step back and observe it. You notice when your focus drifts. You catch emotional reactions before they take over. You recognize when confidence turns into overconfidence.

This skill is not something you are born with or without. Research shows it grows through reflection, feedback, and curiosity. Students who reflect on how they study perform better. Athletes who analyse their decisions improve faster. Even emotional resilience improves when you can label and examine your thoughts instead of fighting them.

For everyday life, this changes everything. Metacognition helps you break #habits that no longer serve you. It helps you learn from failure instead of repeating it. It turns mistakes into data instead of shame.

When you learn to “think about your thinking”, you stop being controlled by your mind. You start working with it. That is real #intelligence.

Absolutely 👊🏼

Nothing like getting a surprise letter from FedEx saying you owe $92 USD tariff taxes on the purchase of a ColdCard. Just because it’s from Canada. Asinine.

Treasure hunting in my father in law’s workshop…

No set of surroundings could be said to be absolutely bad or completely useless or damaging. If a mind is not able to take advantage of the surroundings, it is its own weakness that makes it unable to do so.

For example, a man is sitting in a room that is filthy, full of dust and dirt. If his mind is grounded in contentment, joyfulness, peace, and happiness he radiates those qualities around him and does not pay attention to the dirt and dust.

It is the inner status of the mind that is responsible for making a man joyful or miserable. In the man’s joyfulness and contentment he begins to sweep up the room and wipes off the dust and, in doing so, he takes delight because he is in such good harmony with the surroundings.

If a man is sad and tense, however, and finds the room dirty, he just adds to the tension and his mood grows worse. He becomes more and more tense because of the condition of the room, and he thinks that it is its filthiness that has made him more miserable and tense. But it is not so. It is the misery of his mind that has multiplied itself while being reflected from the particles of dust in the room. Had he been joyful, the joyfulness would have reflected from the dust of the room.

I think it was Massad Ayoob who said “the same gun, in the same place, all the time.”

🤣😂🤣😂

Couldn’t have said it better myself…

For those who are bummed out that Bitcoin is down 25% from ATH:

Better to have 75% of something that’s yours than “100%” of something that’s not.

The fact that we live in a country where you are free to vote in either direction is WAY more than most other countries in the world have. Imperfect, no question, but still the best there is so far.

I find this cancel-culture mob behavior pathetic. My phone’s blowing up with accusations from people who have no idea what they’re talking about.

I’m in Costa Rica before an event, so here are a few quick facts straight from the source, for those interested:

Strike performed flawlessly through all of the recent market volatility. Zero downtime, 24/7 support, and the biggest day in our company’s history across all product lines yesterday. Thank you to every Bitcoiner who supports us.

Strike Lending continues to lead the market. We had zero margin calls today, and have never margin-called a customer, ever. Our loans open at 50% LTV, with customers averaging closer to 40%.

We’re building a reliable, trustworthy credit market on Bitcoin. The existence of bad or irresponsible actors doesn’t make the tool itself bad. Does a man using a hammer to harm others disqualify the one who uses it to build a home? Of course not.

Credit is a tool. Used responsibly, it empowers people. Used recklessly, it destroys them. That’s true of any financial system. Credit on Bitcoin can do so much good for the world, and we’re building it the right way: transparent, regulated, and built for Bitcoiners. In fact, we are actually in the middle of building a loan type where you can pay a premium to remove the possibility of ever getting liquidated. We hope to launch it in Q4! Imagine that, from the very people that are being accused of the opposite.

Anyways, do you really want me deciding what’s “good” or “bad” for everyone else? That’s not Bitcoin. Encouraging mob behavior against those actually building tools for financial freedom is backwards.

I’m used to this kind of noise, but our team has the best product velocity in the industry, they deserve none of it. Tag me and come at me if you want to spout nonsense.

If you don’t want to use our tools, don’t. I’ve never forced anyone to do anything. If you do, please use them responsibly, and if you have questions, reach out. We’ll always answer.

Now, I’m off to the event with the Strike team. Stay humble, stack sats, and build the future however you see fit (that's a lot of the point)

Love your company. Love what you’ve done for bitcoin and for humanity because of it. Your reply was a lot more measured and classy than what went through my mind. 👊🏼
