What are silent payments?
Silent payment addresses are a new form of static payment address, where the actual bitcoin address that you send to is determined from both the silent payment address and the transaction inputs.
This means you can pay to the same silent payments address while ensuring bitcoin addresses are never reused. This both simplifies the payment experience and makes it more private, at the cost of increasing the burden on the recipient to scan incoming transactions for their payments.
Why is receiving to sp up to now so rare among bitcoin wallets; just casino cake, what to expect ?

Do you have a link, because it doesn’t look to be available in the states and just changing my location via my vpn won’t allow it either since Apple uses more than your current location.
Nah there’s only scams named Sparrow on there.
There was nothing under sparrow wallet, not even scam apps and when I searched for a link via safari, it brought me to the store and said it was not available in my country.
A year ago that would surprise me, given all of our freedoms, but we are currently living under the thumb of a fascist administration led by Cheeto Hitler, so nothing surprises me anymore. 😔

something happened. the post announces sparrow v2.3.0 release, a desktop bitcoin wallet adding send to silent payments (privacy feature), pay to dns addresses via bip353, and min fee rate from server.

Sparrow v2.3.1 has been released to restore BIP32 derivations for consolidation payments in PSBTs.
In addition, hiding amounts is now supported, and the keystores that signed a multisig transaction are now shown on the transaction tab.
