Software engineer, outdoor enthusiast, occasional ham radio operator, aspiring hunter and homesteader, bitcoiner, neopagan druid, used to race sailboats, too many hobbies to list. Based in Northern Virginia. I don't like, only zap.

You're not showing up as zapable from Iris, but on Amethyst it looks like someone zapped this post 20 sats.

Good advice. Of course, if you're using multiple clients, it won't necessarily transfer across.

Also, I have a modest proposal yesterday to help with that: #[2]

(is there a way to make note links, well, link, like #[2] or nostr:note1s5ee3vz2v9pv93zv3wqqqqwtp6u637q7vd53xzgtl2kjea6cq2qs3auwjc or something?)

#[0] , I think you may have made a mistake with #grownostr telling people to follow two people a day (and DM). I find myself keeping my powder dry by saving up people to follow tomorrow, for fear of running out by the end of 90 days.

My unilateral solution is going to be follow as I find them, but DM 2 a day.

You could standardize a use of NIP-51 lists for this, using the "d" tag for the person and an "r" tag for the LN Address, then any lightning wallet would automatically gain the functionality.

Though of course that would depend on the Nostr client supporting it.

Good morning Nostr. Beautiful day here in northern Virginia, though I am not looking forward to the heat this afternoon. Supposed to be 88/31.

#grownostr

Seeing so much on the homestead/permaculture front has me a little down on myself. I had medium-big plans this year , but life has gotten in the way.

I have a new 5 acre property. I was going to start slow with just bees this year since I had only seen it in the winter and didn't know what was going to come up.

But since my previous landlord hasn't/hasn't tried to rent my apartment, I'm still paying rent in addition to the mortgage, and the finances suck.

Maybe I'll get lucky and a swarm trap will work, but otherwise, I think I'm just getting to know the property until fall.

Thank you for listening to me vent., if you made it this far.

I'd guess the concern would be look-alikes that volunteered for the wood before the inoculation?

So NIP-05 has the ability to include a list of relays for a user, would it make sense to specify that a client should look up that list of relays for the logged in user, and try to use it?

This would simplify things for people who are trying out different clients (like me, right now) and help prevent things from getting lost.

And would this just be an addendum to NIP-05, or would it get it's own NIP number and replace NIP-05?

At least with Nostr, I could see myself writing or contributing to a NIP or even writing code for it, which I guess sets it apart from twitter for my use cases.

I guess I'll participate in @jackspirko's #grownostr event, but I feel about Nostr the same way I did about Twitter way back when I first heard about it in around 2007. I'm glad it exists, but I'm not the target audience.

I don't know, much more colorful, but both pretty cool.

Was that last year, or earlier?

Give it to whoever first gives you the name of the guy who had the record before that day.

Yeah, but don't worry about it.

Or you are bad at math.
