This is running on a modern gaming machine and my isp provides 1gb speed (closer to 900mb)
It took about a week to sync the blockchain but I thought the LND sync would sync up in less than a day. No?

PLEASE listen to podcast called TFTC #508 and have that guest on your show. Topic is gov killing small farms.
It is very much like what is happening with the beef initiative.
What if we could form bitcoin banks to help farmers? Eliminate the corrupt Farm Credit Administration!
Same experience about a year ago, but had migrated the first Embassy to a NASPi and the later migrated to an old Optiplex. I just restored my entire Start9 on it. Worked great, but your approach is probably better.
Now I’m learning my lesson and breaking my services based on performance and usage, and trying to leverage proxmox now.
The improvements have made for some struggles along the way, but I feel they balanced the move very well and I was able navigate. Grandmas of the world can’t operate them yet, but hopefully they’ve got some Grandson Jim’s to host their Vaultwarden.
FOSS projects like nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll are essential if we want to avoid the centralized stockades. There’s an interesting parallel to the nostr:npub12pl4h7pk0svg8ug4mhu7a90hn6nf83eqadd94pccgsafn73s392qpt42wq avoiding the giant processors. In this comparison we are the cattle and our information is the meat.
I like the fact that with proxmox, I could crank up CPU and memory during the sync and now dial it back afterwards.
My real challenge is understanding the function of each component.
I HATE what I did the first time. I followed steps and it worked. I didn’t understand any of it.
At this point I need to understand it and figure out how to take my roughly $300 in my lightning node (Raspberry Pi) and move it to my new node.
I know it’s really on chain and will always be there until I move it off chain but if my LND wallet on my new gaming machine doesn’t have the same credentials I’ll never see it.
I’m missing some basic fundamentals.
I’ve come to realize that people tend to produce two types of content. 1) detailed how to (step by step)
Or
2)Why you should love Bitcoin.
I can’t seem to find the fundamentals. LOL
My bitcoin node running on a Raspberry Pi has been flaky lately. nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll warned me. So I partitioned a gaming PC and I’m running #bitcoin core on Proxmox. The sync just finished.
My skills are old and rusty. I don’t really know what I’m doing. Next steps are to install my LND wallet and try to recover it from my old Raspberry Pi. Then install the companion apps. Time to read more Start9 docs and watch nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 videos.
I know that this is a long shot. Does anyone here work at Humana? I’m applying for a position there that is well-suited to my experience.
I’ll look into nostrocket…..cuz I’ve never heard of it before now. Thanks
Here are my thoughts:
What distance do you expect to shoot?
What game are you hunting?
What Caliber? ( I assume 6.5 creed)
Will you be hunting at a higher elevation?
Maximum velocity does not equal consistency.
When I would zero my 7mm in 50 degrees at 5200 in October I found very little change hitting elk-heart-MOA at 8,000 in 30 degrees. But mine was at 200 yards. I used commercial ammo. I will say my rifle liked the federal blue box and was noticeably less accurate with the federal red box. Admittedly, 7mm has a very flat trajectory. I’m not sure about 6.5 yet.
I haven’t #reloaded for my 7mm yet but plan to within the year.
Please share your experience as you learn.

Social credit score will become a thing in the US.
Over time more and more things will affect it beyond your financial situation.
Driving record. What you drive, frequency and distance.
What you watch on TV
Your political bias.
Your religion.
Your evaluations at work.
Your children’s report cards and evaluations at school.
Your carbon footprint. The square footage of your house. The amount of electricity you consume.
Total garbage you throw out each week - based on weight.
The social credit score of your friends will have an effect on your score.
In time, you will be able to earn social credit points by being a snitch. For example, reporting someone who is running a side business from their home without government approval. Or reporting someone who waters their lawn too frequently. This will cause suspicion and even division among lifelong friends.
The ability to obtain certain jobs will require various levels of social credit scores.
Many people will live the social credit score system and many will despise it. It will cause commotion and division until it is accepted. People will learn to game the system over time just like a financial credit score.
A wholesome animated series for the kiddos. Produced by a friend of mine.

It was such a hit that season 2 is in now production now.
Self harvest venison is my preference. Took me awhile but I figured out how to prepare it so the family likes it.
I’m thinking of #writing a #book and wondering if a group effort is possible. Has an open-source book ever been done before?Would a nostr app would be a good platform? Does one exist?
Nostr has incredible potential - more than most of us can imagine.
I wonder if it would be smart to have a nostr book archive to save books at risk of censorship? I don’t know how it would be done. Maybe begin by copying the Gutenberg project?
For decades, some district librarians in the US, have been quietly removing certain #books from public reach.
For example, in the 1980s, my mom went to a public library in Colorado to borrow a few books by Flavius #Josephus. She wanted to read unbiased historical accounts about #Jesus.
All works by Josephus had been removed a few months prior to her arrival. The reason listed was “Lack of interest “.
My mom asked the librarian who was familiar with his works. She discovered that the books were FREQUENTLY checked out and sometimes had a waiting list.
The “lack of interest“ statement was a lie. The librarian my mom spoke to was as mad as my mom and admitted that she saw the district person in charge doing this with other materials also.
So, the question remains. Does it make sense to preserve works at risk of #censorship and is nostr the right platform?
Reloading is a relaxing hobby
I’m thankful for nostr and anxious for groups because I’m into #reloading. I’ve been thrown into FB jail several times for simple comments about reloading and of course trying to sell projectiles (we call them seeds ). But they still got me.
If anyone is interested, I have extra calibers I don’t use because I purchase a “lot”. It was easier than picking through everything. Most are open box and odd calibers such as .338, .375, 8mm, .45, and .44.
There’s more than what’s in this picture. Pm if interested. I’ll ship flat rate in CONUS from MO.
