thank you for this. lately I learn about at least one thing a day that makes me question everything I knew. It may be food, relationships, tech... I'm constantly learning something new. Admittedly, I know there are many times when I don't know what I don't know so I'm asking questions that a future me may find naive or uninformed. I'm willing to see from all perspectives and as much as I want to side with what my intuotion trusts as goodness, I know I need to have understandings of what may not have worked so I can orient towards what can provide a better outcome. As we move further into election season or a future world with AI that has us question what is real, I think some other sense will be needed. like attunement to vibration so we can articulate underlying intent. I am willing to be vulnerable, to not know, to ask, to reconsider and to stand firm when I have my knowingness. The future will require this dance of trust, verification, feeling, and expression.

this is an excellent idea and I am thankful to see more focus on video.

also having this issue on primal for weeks and amethyst. on a pixel. I read on Reddit that someone had it fixed by contacting primal and they needed to confirm his email. I have yet to fix this. video is important and linking out is not the answer.

Nathan, I'm far away in Thailand these days yet am psyched to see the Denver community thriving with its own space. When I go back home to Boulder (23 years there) next, I definitely want to visit.

I'm a newbie and open to learning. I admit I know little about the Nostr protocol and how we stay decentralized and maintain privacy. Am I missing something major? like there is no way to pass a public key or use something like a get alby/ zapier type integration? is that why we should draw and quarter devs that create something like this? or is it because we are just hating on all the other socials (believe me I'd like to never look at a screen again)? is it something you'd never want the tech to do and for what reason? it would flood Nostr with shitty content if people could post one to many?

What would it take to share to Nostr when we post to our other socials? Not everyone is ready for total absence from where the audience currently is. It would help creators if they could easily post their content to Nostr at the same time yet the icon is never an option. if you can check the npub from an image that's forwarded, what else is needed for Nostr push buttons that are multiplfform?

I don't know the tech enough to understand if that's why or do we just need partnerships. Like Buffer or Hubspot...even sharing from Twitter. there is no option to post once to all platforms including Nostr. that would be helpful and maybe increase adoption..

can you share that with me? it is imperative that this tech exists and oay have partners or pieces for it.

Thanks for your response. I've been doing this for 30+ years and have been in emerging technology so I get to see a lot of things very early and so yeah, over time, some of these connections have been very impactful financially. Sometimes they resulted in people becoming best friends or even spouses. In fact, I had no idea I was responsible for a friendship dating over a decade until they reminded me, I was the reason they knew each other. I am humbled and grateful to hear a thank you like that.

There are reasons why connection is often forgotten as something to be valued. We just don't realize that people often are the impetus and there's not really a formal way to say thank you if a connection lead to something beneficial.

Because of the way things are structured, especially in American VC, it's actually not even legal to help companies raise capital or be rewarded for a funding event if you're not registered as a broker dealer. So if I can just help, I try to. VCs often do not want to pay people for business deals that generate revenue even though that's what internal sales people do. Yet if you sold a house or are a talent agent representing an artist or athlete in LA, it's understandable that there's a commission. I get why it's different to protect people from bad investments. And, we currently do a lot of things to protect us that often just curtail our freedoms.

There are ways we can shift this in the future.

I'm still learning and looking out for the best options to celebrate connection and seriously, just the acknowledgement and thank you for what connection brings is a great first step to start the dialogue.

Every day I make a few introductions because I can't help myself. I'm a #Superconnector and want these people to know each other. Sadly, I am always like 30-50 intros behind because I may have a list after one chat of who could be beneficial. My biggest frustration is finding out about something or someone I know I can help grow and not have the capacity to be available in a meaningful way.

The question about how I make money comes up at a point. This friction in the flow has yet to be solved in a way that feels good often because people do not value connections and because connectors are, by nature, generous and gift their #relationships.

Unfortunately, those that are most talented with this natural gift must sustain themselves in other ways. Imagine if we told artists and athletes to ignore what they are best at.

It's why I wonder how can we free the #connectors?

For now, I trust the karma piece. I am patient knowing tech is being built and I will wait a little longer.

I have made billions of dollars for people and not even had a thank you. In venture, they oppose paying someone for a referral and God forbid you help an #entrepreneur raise funds if you are not a broker dealer even though the thing every #startup needs is resources and cash flow.

And... This is why I got excited about #SSID and how things like Verus.io and their smart transactions (identity at the base layer with privacy upon choice not default) can work. I believe we should get rewarded for us - our anonymized data, likeness, content, creativity, and yes, connections.

Yet there is still a self-reported part of what my friend, David Homan, calls valuing the chain of connection.

The Who leads us to everything.

This documentation of the impact of connection, especially when I put someone together that takes years to have what they created together flourish, or if it's an intangible in business like a lifelong friendship, is not something easy to see in an immediate conversion like a click or a completed contract.

Yet connection is what builds innovation.

This is why I came back to the idea of a goodness token as a way for people to say thank you. Zaps and sats in places like Nostr are that. Value for value.

Over time we will change how we approach these things. Yet, there may never be a tech that can track what gratitude provides.

This is why just saying Thank You is important because we are seeing through eyes of gratitude.

Until then, I will measure my value in kindness to all my many selves and to others and listen for where I can hear more thank yous from loving hearts.
