I don’t think “uses Bitcoin” as a means to any end, when often those ends conflict, makes someone a bitcoiner.

There was a cultural foot print in the white paper, addressing the root issue, therefore the people who are causing the root issue to deepen, and trying to centralize bitcoin to capture / co-opt / control, cannot be bitcoiners, even though they are using the tool (for evil).

That sucks, but we all live and learn. That’s what helps us improve. Stay strong and happy zapping

I like to wander in country roads but in El Salvador that can bring one into contact with dogs on the street, guarding their street, house.

My attitude with the fiercer dogs is to let them approach from my back so they can get a good smell before I look at them. Seems counterintuitive to turn a back to the dog, and maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Ignore the dog until they smell my back is the best option? Turn around?

I just enjoy the vibe this place has.

I agree with your point of view. There are multiple levels of value here on nostr, whether it’s an informative article, someone’s personal thoughts or help setting up a wallet. Allie can be given in many ways.

I’m happy to have zapped more that I’ve received. I try to ϟ every day. I’m definitely more of a consumer than a creator. Zaps make nostr fun and give value where value is due. Zaps used to be more plentiful.

We need to up those zap numbers, especially for the newcomers that are bringing value to nostr.

There’s no such thing as being a bitcoiner beyond some common values about money.

Some are cynical, some relentlessly optimistic, some build, some tear down at every corner, some do both!

Some are libertarians, some are statists, some are confused in between.

Some are Christians, some are Jews, some are neither (atheist).

Some want riches and the Bitcoin dollar, they don’t care about a social credit system, as long as they get rich - while others want private payments and don’t care about the riches at all.

What we all seem to agree on, is that the money is fucked and it is the highest order of priorities, as everything else is downstream of this (monopoly on law, violence, communications).

What other common ground do we all share?
