As I'm listening to this podcast I continue to hear about people not wanting to call bitcoin the name crypto. Let's use an example: imagine a totally slipshod and terrible car company. The fuel efficiency is terrible, it's a total throw of the dice whether it'll start on any given day and yes there are some cases where the fuel tank randomly explodes, causing some tragic accidents. Do we stop calling 4 wheeled passenger vehicles cars? No, we would call out the bad brand. This is why bitcoin being crypto does nothing to smear or diminish its own use or effectiveness.

Crypto vs Bitcoin: I've noted that some people getting really wound up when you call Bitcoin Crypto. Can anyone explain that to me? Bitcoin is secured by cryptography so it seems to me that it is Crypto, even if a superior form. Why was the label Altcoins not sufficient?
I need a suggestion for good bitcoin podcasts. I seem to have fallen in with people cheer leading btc(which is fine) but I'd like to hear what people are doing with btc. Or even a more technical dive. Ideas?

I forsee a significant challenge for many bitcoiners after hearing "not your keys, not your crypto. I've not heard enough about solutions for bad actors in the mint yet. Based onthe three interviews I've heard, the onlysolution is apply social pressure or shame bad actors who operate mints. Please tell me I'm wrong.
How bullish am I on bitcoin? I got stung by my gox, blockfi, and Terra, and I still thing bitcoin is a great asset. Don't confuse people with networks.

Maybe I misunderstood the process but my understanding was fully new keys are unrelated to and other key generated. I'd think something like allowing poll responses after an identity has been active on the network x times or after days since first lost might be effective at least in stopping spinning up 1k new id's in one day to stuff the ballot box.
