I'm reminded we have to focus on what we can control. That does not mean that other causes are unworthy, but it's not selfish to focus on what you can. It's just being real. We cannot change the whole world, just your own world.
I know the feeling. Be careful because down that road lies desparation and giving up on everything. As some have said, find what you can help and focus on that. You need not be accountable for the world.
Can someone explain or Steelcase this for me? Why would we have to pay a fee for the privilege of no longer paying uncle Sam money? Did out taxes not already meet the supposed obligations for any services we use?
Shouldn't we be able to walk into a consular/embassy and drop off the passport and proclaim pur own independence? I'm only mentioning the process, not whether or not someone should renounce citizenship.

It is vital to be aware that the powers you grant your favorite politicians will be granted to your least favorite too.
No problem all you have to do is send Elon .5 btc so he can convert it to dogecoin and double it.......... not financial advice.
I find this line of thought interesting. Is this regional? Are you foraging or referring to local commercial sources?
I'm reminded of a statement by Alexander Fraser Tytler (forgive me if I paraphrase) a government cannot exist long once its people begin to vote for their own enrichment at the cost of others. The candidates will continue to promise to those they wish to vote for them.
That seems a very long and obtuse way to classify all womanhood as unable to articulate thier actual concerns. If the point is to encourage men to step up maybe we need to do it without making an accusation to the other gender at the same time. Does your responsibility or duty vary depending on how well you wife/partner/girlfriend is taking it?
And the news conglomerates are distracting us with wars and aliens. Standard tactics.
Been there. It took a bullet through from my wall from the apartment next door that changed my mind on apartment living. It won't be a fast change, but worth it.
I'd over to move to some of that "terrible" land that's miles from nowhere and lacks that ever so vital infrastructure we need (starbucks, big malls, heavy population centers, etc)
My least favorite uncle named Sam will fine or lock me up if I raise chickens. We've seen this changing in nearby cities, but not where I live. Yes, I'm looking into moving.
True, most opportunity occurs in understanding these changes. Movement is life
So long as we understand that you can decided to buy bitcoin instead of food and shelter,,but you cannot make that decision for too long before nature and biology takes away that choice from you. I will grant the concession that most of us have far more discretionary income than we often recognize, but it is not all discretionary on a very long time scale.
I suck at reading the room so if this comes across the wrong way, please understand it's meant in a positive, conversation inducing way, rather thank trolling.

That makes about as much sense as the priesthood of the environment flying across the world to tell the pkebs how carbon will kill the world. Sorry to say it happens in trains too.
I'd think at that point, just look for a place that sells small pieces of titanium and dyi.
I agree with low time preference as a concept, but in an economic standpoint this assumes a certain amount of discretionary funds.
