Super cool.
Awesome, thank you!
The toxic part is where you and the op brush aside the disgusting tone of the post with "looking inwards" and dress the room with back pats about self reflection. Unbelievable.
Are you kidding me? Madness. Delusion and madness.
I'm dumb? Great. Your ability to respect anyone seems unlikely.
That catchty one-liner is your justification for dismissing and what seems like insulting the people who brought you into this world? Come on man.
I can't think of much worse than my kids talking about me when I die, like you have here. Incredible.
Fence sitting never suited me I'm afraid, and to sit on the fence is one thing, but to lean over and touch the grass because you really don't belong on the fence but are too afraid to jump, that's just being a pussie.
He knows that.
"Yay let's all be free and loving and not care what anyone else does cos we're all free and loving and that's the whole point". Ummmm no.
No, no, no...not sure where you got that from. I was suggesting that you may be a bad actor.

It's incredibly sad to see such low effort click bait on nostr - and some zapping this "car crash".
No, nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk is not a bad actor (except for blocking me on Twitter, which he can't do here on nostr. Muahahaha). He's a bit special but was often right on things where my initial impulse told me that he was wrong and most definitely wants Bitcoin to succeed more than most anything else, so I would vouch for him not being a bad actor 100%.
Is Luke being abused by a bad actor in this case? Is Mechanic a bad actor? I don't know. The debate about CSAM on the blockchain feels a bit like that. We had that debate many years ago, apparently nasty stuff is in the blockchain but my bitcoin tools don't show it to me and I wouldn't download tools that would parse the blockchain for images. The argument that you would need special software for the prior cases but not for the future cases is stupid as - guess what - you will always need "special software" to view images in something that's not purpose built for images. A "blk04169.dat" won't accidentally get opened with image software and with "special software" you can even find images in actual transactions that nobody put images in in the first place.
To discuss filters in the context of what is legal in your jurisdiction is a slippery slope and can only harm Bitcoin.
So do I stand with Core in this debate? Actually no, not yet at least. But luckily it's not that binary neither. I won't run knots but I won't update my full nodes any soon neither. Policy filters are a 🖕 to people abusing or attacking Bitcoin and node operators should not get policy filters taken away precisely to avoid this heated debate. Policy filters are an escape valve for things that some would like to see as consensus rules but can't quite convince all to go that route. Let people filter out big OP_RETURNs if they want to. Set the default to 100kB and see what happens. Welding close this escape valve was Core's error and now they get the heat.
Yes, filters don't work but they send a message. Your dick pics are not wanted here. If Core wants them, let the individual miners at least send that statement clearly.
Mechanic a bad actor? You asking that question and sitting on a spam fence is telling. It's like you're trying to be this easy going friendly observer who doesn't want to piss anyone off but in the end says "let's set the default to 100kb and see what happens". Are you the bad actor I wonder?
I take it you're still using Windows Millennium edition and living it?
Okay so I went there and it's literally a third party making a key for me. So no, yes, no?
With the generating of keys, do we have a cold-card-esc way of doing that for nostr? Or we just trust the web app to make them for us? Like is there an offline way to generate nsec?
What's that saying? "Every successful marriage looks the same but every failed one is uniquely different". I've got that wrong but something like that.
True but the kids will def need more than a kind heart and good intentions. Sound money for a start and no drugs (phones) until they are old enough to be responsible, independent humans. The latter is completely overlooked or disregarded so the kind kids are still slaves to the state in the end.
It's a pretty weak take tbh. "More content", let's just embrace it all, spam and bots and ads, its all good, let the people decide! We base rules that allow free markets to flourish is a better start. Kinda like having a highway with lanes and speed limits. Establishing those bases are what allow for freedom with reasonable bounds.
You said mostly. You're not there yet.
Dumb arguments like "jpegs are spam, we don't want spam", or " if you're 25% MSTR and maybe mostly in Bitcoin, you're not a bitcoin maxi"? I guess whatever you contribute is smart?
It's not as simple as that. "Bitcoiners" changed from actual Bitcoiners to watered down sellouts who dabble in crypto and other stocks whilst chanting rituals that no longer align with their actions.
Fight! Fight! Fight! All the pussies staying quiet and acting like it's virtuous are well, just pussies.
Meanwhile, half the time I can't expand your notes due to an error?
Love your stuff mate, much appreciated.
Wanna make a call? Gotta give access. Wanna send a text? Gotta give access. Wanna take a photo? Gotta give access. What's your point again?
If you think in this way, you will eventually find it is not worth surrounding yourself with anyone.
Is that the same as people actually knowing but still no caring?
