Hollyhocks were 2 years in the making (they are biannual) but just as they really started flowering the customer told me he didn't want them... luckily everyone else said how beautiful they are so he's decided not to incur the wrath of the village but getting me to chop the down.😁

It's also a relief because I planted them to stop the dogs leaving a nitrogen burn on all the topiary.

Good morning nostr, today i'd better get some mowing done on the trails today. It'll take us a couple days to cover all the sections, and we have good chances of rain starting Thursday. It has not been a typical summer for us, rain in July is unusual, and we've had some rains all summer so far. And our temps have not been nearly as extreme, although its been very humid. You should incorporate your red light therapy device in there too. You can receive the health benefits of it, block cameras in night vision and generally just look terrifying by being a cloaked figure that is glowing red 😄

The vet told me this morning that cats are a 3 legged animal that come with a spare. I don't think he could have done a better job of conveying rough news. I'm going to start calling my home the island of misfit toys. 😅

Ah poor thing, my neighbour had a cat with 3 legs, to be honest seemed pretty happy before and after the accident. We used to call it Katmandu..... later on we found it was called 'Fluffy' 😅

Trying this out this week, photosynthetic bacteria like Rhodopseudomonas Palustris have completely changed my approach to disease issues in gardening. They can retask certain pathogens into beneficial organisms for a plant .

Instead of removing all the top soil in a garden I was working at in an effort to battle phytophthora, I instead poured a lot of this bacteria in the soil. This prevented any more trees and shrubs dying while improving the health of the overall garden.

So if instead of paying £35 for a 500ml bottle I can make some with some msg, eggs and sunlight I am all ears.

The weather has been so bad for the last 12 months I have had to experiment with bringing my purple non sulphur bacteria production back inside under an infrared led and a heat mat.

Starting to pick up a nice pinky hue from the bacteria.
