It would be more surprising if absolutely nothing changed at this point!
Today I heard some very rich people shouting at each other. It's likely some stupid crap as it's not the first time I have heard them from quite some distance away. So I have to conclude once I don't feel like I am in sinking in financial quicksand I don't really care.
Land is second. With caveats it's usually pretty versatile for food, fuel and overall security. There is probably a point where you have enough of it that I becomes more a liability than a resource but that's up to you and your imagination to find out.
You might be being a bit unfair on them Mike. If didn't have bureaucracy, then we wouldn't have a regional sub division of a bloated quango called Environment agency to tell us ice can slippy and the weather changes, then where would we be?.... Quite literally up shit creek without a paddle because they completely failed in their task in keeping the rivers free from sewage ๐คก ๐
There seems to be enough to stop you questioning why there aren't any on nostr ๐
I had a couple from when my Dad went to Iran, but unfortunately the moths ended up appreciating one to the point where I had to compost it.
Don't know bout the Maya so much, but one hypothesis for the downfall of the Khmer were supposedly some kind of environmental degradation and flooding affecting the complex irrigation systems and the incredible structures of Angkor and others were abandoned as result.

A lot of people assume that somewhere in Britain there are sheds full of food that weโd distribute in a disaster. Surely there is a grain or butter mountain somewhere? Surely the UK government has a plan for such a crisis?
Nope. No sheds. No stores. No mountains of food. No plan.
All politicians say that food security matters, but no one admits that basically we donโt have it. Britain probably has less than a week of food supplies. The only food in the UK is whatโs on the shelves of our supermarkets now, and whatโs in their lorries on the way to the shops. Oh, and whatever you have in the fridge, plus a few crops growing on UK farms or stored in barns, and whatever is edible and roaming around in fields. And perhaps you could hunt or forage if you have a gun or a trap or two.
And we import around 50% of our food and haven't produced enough for the population since around the 19th C at a time when the soil would have been substantially better. Clearly there are more important matters to care about like getting involved in more foreign wars which could turn a bad situation into a famine.
I was listening to 'The Plantagenets' this year during our horrendous weather seemed they also had some really lowsy weather during their rule and the starvation and destitution after the failed crop sounded well frankly pretty grim.
Going to be basking in that extra second or two of daytime tomorrow ๐ฅณ โ๏ธ๐

Happy solstice more daytime incoming ๐- There is quite a lot there for the winter solstice usually the weather puts everyone off!
Thank you Laurel I shall give it a go, especially if I do end geting some solar panels.
Shungite is mostly carbon and biochar which is basically charcoal so it makes sense. You could always build a timber building too and make it with hempcrete and incorporate something carbonaceous in that too. They are rather nice buildings when you get them right. You can then render it with more carbonaceous plaster and paint after that!...Might have to look into carbon paint now, apparently carbon black was made from Shungite!
It's sounds pretty sturdy from the materials used but how indestructible is it? How far have you drop tested it from and could it survive being driven over etc?
Haha no ๐ , I guess its a sine wave clean up. I remember doing something like that in physics a long time ago and checking it on the oscilloscope. Do you notice much of a difference with that? Can't say I have a fancy shielding blanket too ๐.
I did discover though biochar blocks emf though going to incorporate more of that into some building materials on the next structure I build.
It's a 'I will get round to it one day' kind of idea .
You should speak to nostr:nprofile1qqs2vrneurk665gq6a2rke572y7mc8ppwr5wnd60mw8fwxharc8xsycpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjme0j9cycq about the new device, he is head of giant calf muscles at foundation devices.
๐ You have really outdone yourselves this time. Lots of interesting features particularly like the key cards that's going to save a lot of headaches explaining my current set up to family.
I have seen them in the U.K so I would guess you might have them in the US too.
Yeah the smell attracts flies that spread the spores around and nature has a sense of humour too ๐
All EMF waves are harmless.... nothing to see here .

The museum is pretty good for its small size I particularly Iike the Roman underfloor heating ๐. If you go to the shopping centre car park there you can see more ruins they unearthed there when they built the place.
If you do get panels its definitely worth going for a more powerful miner. If these machines cost hardly anything to buy it would be worth considering but at this stage its more for fun and learning.
Its very low in terms of wattage I was wondering If I could run one off a Peltier system from the woodstove again not an efficient use of money spent but I thought it would be fun to do,
Fairly play are you even able to reach a threshold to withdraw?
Zero, you can earn some sats per month but even then its almost nothing and may not meet a withdrawal threshold. The efficiency is amazing for the current drawn but there is no way you can get your money back from it, unless Hal want to help you out from beyond the ether.
Its does pretty much everything. You can choose the number of words when you set one up on there etc if you think that might be a combability issue with another wallet you might have.
I think Sparrow is by the best wallet I have ever used. Might seem a bit daunting at first as it doesn't have a glossy GUI and there are lots of options to play with but I found after just exploring the whole thing I ended understanding how Bitcoin works probably about 1000x better than a simple easy to use glossy looking thing.
Manuka honey is clearly full of nano bots and tiny portals to other worlds .

They must be other worlds because they glow in the dark

Thankfully if you add water the nanobots disappear leaving only their tiny beach volleyballs they import via the tiny portals. Their whole economy is built on the import and export of beach volleyballs. All of this of course makes far more sense than a fiat debt backed economy.
We can learn a lot via microscopy ๐
