Daughter's gerbil nearly died. Crushed charcoal and vinegar in water with some red light therapy and he seems to be fixed again. So much for winding down and having some time off for once 😅

Working on some arts and crafts graffiti 😆

I get your point but that's what is being proposed. Lots wont really have a choice I reckon that number will be growing as more people will be laid off. It wont need to be everyone just in the millions what are they going to do fine and arrest a million people? Considering Birmingham and quite a few other councils are already bust that is a large chunk of the population already. Guess we will see....

Gb news are adding the election spin as if it were important... its not. People are just deciding not to pay council tax because they cant afford to and they willing to give money away to everywhere else on the planet while claiming there is a financial black which they need raise taxes for.

Who's up for good old fashioned tax revolt then?

With the money saved perhaps we can have a street party or actually afford to go down the pub where we get to together and decide who we are going to tar and feather first.

Poor thing, turmeric does relieve pain at the same time as being an anti inflammatory. People with arthritis always seem to remark that does help quite a bit perhaps you can change between that and the NSAID to lower his tolerance.

What about DMSO or Caster oil could those be options?

The worst part of buying a microscope to look at soil and plants is realising how ubiquitous microplastics are. To the point where it becomes surprising when you don't see it in a soil sample.

😁 Yeah its going to be a busy old year I have too much to do already but there are some things in that podcast that I'm definitely going to have to try out. Just met someone on Matts who is doing Nigel Palmer's course will have to ask him mote about it next time I see him.

Yeah I just mean purely from the fire of making the biochar if you are arid. Those grasses are great but if you can grow maize, sorghum or sugar cane they draw even more carbon down into the soil. Guess you could char the stems too at the end of the season.

Perhaps if you have some good spots already you can do an IMO capture there and move those microorgnism elsewhere to the rest of the place. You could also make am IPMO by doing an IMO capture with either frass or ant bodies to capture microorganism that break down chitin that will kill the ants. Make it into a compost tea and pour into into the nest. Orange oil could also be an option if you have that.

Good luck perhaps go watch some of Geoff Lawton's videos for inspiration certainly dry and arid over in Jordan.

I am in very different soil and climate but I assume your soil is rather alkaline and oxidised so you might want to inoculate things with a ferment to acidify things more. Bacillus in partilcular can be useful to help solubilise some of that Si in the sand. Then you might want to cover crop legumes with some c4 grasses to help build the soil and just crimp or chop and drop it. Its hard to think of a situation that doesn't want more biochar so try and make some of that if its not too dry and going to cause you issues.

Do you have rocks around? Perhaps stacked rocks or gabions like in the PDM could be good option along with the swales if the water is sudden sharp and intense

b3ta.com silly me

yeah its still there 😁

I think b3ta.org is still around

Bizarre, how popular it was at it just faded away it.

Yeah that's classic newsgrounds fodder

Nah, they definitely sold out after their first album 😁

I am so glad I didn't have to have ptsd from installing real audio to hear that thanks Mike

There is lots of really good information in his other book Regenerative soil too.

Regenerative Soil Microscopy by Matt Powers. The quote is from Dr. James F. White. Lots of really good interviews with him on youtube etc

Good question the ones I have were cut but I would assume it would leach out anyway. I guess you could use the ones already used for broth though I guess you would have slightly less nutrient in it if you wanted to use it for wcap later. Butchers will give them for free and cut anyway so if you are going there just ask them to give you some.

Fungi are more related to people than plants... Like people (well most people anyway) if their needs are met they don't attack others.

Yeah and it ends being quite thick and fatty from the marrow so it helps trap the volatiles that way too...so you don't want to make it with old bones.
