Whatever question you got I'll give you everything I know no questions asked. Just give me a shout. I've done everything from multisig wallets, home node over Tor and i2p, p2pool mining you mame it.

Do your research. At peak Qubic had about 37% hashrate and performed what's called a selfish mining attack. All PoW coins are susceptible to this including Bitcoin. There were numerous 9 block reorgs (just below the 10 block confirmation requirement for finality) so there caused major delays in transaction timing but no finality was broken.

There was once a 18 block reorg which was clearly a major fuckup on Qubics part as come from beyond was in denial of it on X and was playing damage control. Off of memory about 100 or so transactions were invalidated and stuck in mempool for a week. Those could have been double spent against merchants thus the severity of the reorg. Only 10 and beyond block reorgs are damaging to finality though. Nobody reported double spends but it surely was possible at this one incident. Once again you don't need 51% for this attack, it's a selfish mining attack so Qubic got on a lucky streak, outmined the other pools in secret, then dumped their new longer chain on the network.

If they got 51% they could create true on-chain double spends, isolate miners and create permanant dominance over the chain. That attack is entirely different from the selfish mining attack we saw and would have resulted in permanent damage to the network.

Less visibility doesn't mean less verifiability. Just because you can't understand the cryptography to verify there's no inflation bug doesn't mean it's not verifiable. Check https://www.moneroinflation.com/ for details.

I doubt you've manually checked each BTC transaction on chain adding up UTXOs to ensure no inflation bug either so you're trusting that someone has either way.

It's way easier lol. Just download the Monero binaries (or compile from source) open port 18080 and run the Monero binary. You can access your node locally via localhost:18081 or open port 18089 to access it remotely via 18089.

It's A Wonderful Life is such a terrific movie.

Depends on how recent the wallet was last synched but it takes a bit, just as syncing from a Bitcoin core node takes a bit. There are light wallet solutions akin to Electrum for bitcoind like Edge wallet but similar to Electrum there are major tradeoffs privacy wise.

You could hypothetically run a node on a phone if it has enough storage (around 260gb unpruned last time I checked) but similar to Bitcoin core (about 570gb last time I checked) storage is the limiting factor.

Most node in the phone LND implementations rely on light wallet syncing like Electrum or Neutrino nodes.

Merry Christmas to all!

Love Fr. Ripperger his exorcism stories are crazy. So much wisdom in that man.

By what state? The vatican? Then yeah the Pope is the head of the vatican state and of the Catholic Church. Roman Catholicism is one rite but there are others like byzantine catholics which submit to the Pope but preserve eastern theology and tradition.

No Matthew in Chapter 16 verse 18 was quoting Jesus telling Peter that he's new name is Peter (meaning rock) and upon him He would build His church and that he'll would never prevail against it. The Church is the bride of Christ and the tabernacle of His body on earth.

Peter wasn't an author of any gospel. He was the first pope though so quite special in a different way than Matthew.

People can be decieved and the Pope is a person. He wasn't speaking ex cathedra so you can disagree with his conclusions and still be Catholic. I'm skeptical of climate change too but it doesn't change my allegiance to the church one bit.

Yeah that quote from Francis was borderline apostacy he was not a great pope in my opinion I pray he is in heaven.

The Catholic church has her authority from Jesus Himself when he told Peter that he would build the church upon him and Peter would hold the keys to heaven. That's why it's based, it's based in Truth which is incarnate in Jesus.

A pope speaking personally, not ex cathedra, is not making a binding statement of the faith, but rather giving an opinion. An opinion that is not congruent with the faith in my opinion. Had he been speaking ex cathedra then yeah it would be a major crisis and would question the authority of the church. Never gonna happen though since Jesus Himself promised the gates of hell would never prevail against the church.

Based. Bitcoins utility is its value. As we move away from self custodial, p2p digital cash we move towards a more speculative, paperized asset.

Yeah definetly lose lose but as a married man, I'd be nearly impossible for me to risk 25 years in prison vs 5. If I were single maybe I'd consider becoming a martyr but even then we're talking about being in prison your whole young - middle aged adult life.

You can't expect that from Keonne and especially Bill who would basically be signing up for the rest of his life in prison.

Also they'd have to give millions to the government with interest 25 years down the line so they're effectively slaves after getting out. Impossible decision.
