#Propaganda is a powerful tool that governments can use to shape public opinion and justify actions that may not be in the best interests of the people. The use of fear and security as propaganda tools for mass surveillance is a particularly concerning trend, as it can lead to the normalization of invasive #surveillance practices and the erosion of individual rights and freedoms.

So long as it costs a fortune to get elected, politicians will work to curry favor with the elite and never the plebs.

Surprisingly, all you have to do as a politician is keep calling the government a “democracy” and foolish plebs will still believe they have a voice. They will continue to do this even when every action of the government proves that the opposite is true.

It blows my mind how effective the misdirection is and how stupid/gullible most people are.

Couldn’t agree more. Crypto is a scam. #Bitcoin is the only viable alternative to fiat. Start writing about that and maybe you won’t have to beg for #zaps.

The 21-Foot Handgun Drill is Bullshit, Always Has Been

This drill unfolds as follows: a guy with a knife in hand initiates an attack and usually "wins", meaning he touches the gun guy with a fake knife before the gun guy can fake shoot the knife guy.

As if that is a "kill". As if the gun guy can't now shoot the knife guy many, many times. But that isn't even the real bullshit.

Have the knife guy put the knife in a scabbard, and let the gun guy initiate the attack. The bull 💩 becomes instantly obvious. The real lesson is that the attacker, in all situations, tends to have the advantage. This is true from a street attack all the way up to state-on-state military conflict.

The attacker doesn't always win but, statistically, wins far more often than not. Look at every major war in history, and you'll see this is the case. In fact, the nations that we often say "lost" — like Germany in WWII — only lost when they stopped being the attacker and became the defender.

Some reading this won't like it because it grates against the "taught truth", but the taught truth is taught because it's seldom simply true. It is, instead, a construct that generally is false. In many instances, it's the truth hiding in a lie, as it is here.

What the drill should teach you is that having a gun doesn't guarantee you'll survive or win in a fight, even if your attacker doesn't have one. Substitute a hammer for the knife, and the attack becomes even more potentially deadly. You're more likely to survive a stab wound than a blow to the head with a ball peen hammer that can be bought in any hardware store for under 20 bucks.

You could be a Navy SEAL, a Green Beret — it doesn't matter. If someone wants you dead and you don't know it, you're likely dead. The most badass soldier you know can be approached from behind and hit in the head, resulting in death in less than a second. People hate this type of truth because it makes them realize how at risk they really are. That's the point of the 21-foot drill, but most people who teach it don't understand the real lesson.

Have you seen many head wounds?

They’re a pretty heterogenous group. Same goes for stabbing victims.

I’ve seen someone missing half their head survive, while someone with a seemingly small single puncture wound from a screwdriver dies. The reverse is also true. Small head trauma dies, multiple stab wounds victim survives.

Often less about the weapon, more about skill/luck of the wielder and/or bad luck of the victim.

Dangerous opinion:

Parenting is a form of taxation.

Spend 18+ years of your life working your ass off for free to raise kids, just so that the kids themselves can become the next productive slaves for our masters.

And so the cycle goes.

Sorry if this hits a nerve with many but always happy to discuss.

Nice. I read through a few of your posts and it seems like you are a thoughtful person.

If you’re up for it, check out some of mine as I apparently have some unusual opinions on a bunch of topics. If you’re ever up for a rational discussion to challenge our respective views on these, let me know.

We seem to mostly agree on #Bitcoin, so that would likely be a pretty boring topic for us. :)

Happy for you.

But I hope you’re not saying that it’s impossible to be happy while simultaneously being a #nihilist or #pessimist.

Can confirm otherwise, am very happy, but can also acknowledge that nothing really matters and that life in general is a pretty shitty fucking deal.

To offer a somewhat different point of view, I didn’t come to #nostr to be among blind bitcoin disciples.

While I fully recognize that almost all here are #bitcoin maxis for the time being, nothing would make me happier than to see a loud, well-reasoned voice of dissent on #nostr when it comes to Bitcoin.

It may be hard for us to imagine or acknowledge flaws, but to simply assume bitcoin is perfect is to think dogmatically about it. And dogma is antithetical to bitcoin’s principles.

It may not seem like it now, because the user base is small and rather homogenous, but the entire point of #nostr is to give voice to those opinions we may not have heard before due to centralized media censorship.

If you’re not made to question your beliefs or feel offended at times, then you’re not doing yourself any favors. Growth, change, and improvement can only come through such experiences.

We are in the early stages of a new #Bitcoin bull market. Let's explore what we know about such bull markets based on observations from the four major hype cycles that Bitcoin has already undergone.

Bull markets start off relatively slowly because of an overhang of potential supply. Firstly, some who bought at higher prices in the prior cycle and are looking to be "made whole" so they can escape their positions, plus whales who wished they had cashed in near the top.

Before it is clear the bull market has begun, there is a period of steady accumulation as "weak hands" are liquidated and replaced by "strong hands" who have long term conviction in the value of #Bitcoin.

In a bear market, good news does not matter. Every rally is sold off and hopes are pitilessly crushed. The bull is the opposite. Bad news no longer matters and every dip is met with eager buyers who are looking for suitable entry points into #Bitcoin.

Once the prior all time high is breached, there is no longer an overhang of supply. The price is free to run wild in an "open field". This is when #Bitcoin 's price appreciation begins to accelerate apace.

Once a new #Bitcoin all time high is made, new highs trigger a feeding frenzy. Media attention returns and new entrants are attracted by the allure of quick profits, driving prices higher even faster. Prices eventually reach a crescendo top.

#Bitcoin 's price action is parabolic in nature during a bull market. This means that much of the price appreciation happens in a short time window at the end of the bull market.

There will be several moments during the bull market where major corrections will mistakenly be called "tops". The same will happen again in this run.

One sure sign a #Bitcoin  bull market is coming to an end is the sloppiness of the trading. Large inter-exchange spreads, major price "gaps", and the inability of exchanges to stay open during the mad final rush of profit-motivated speculators are major warning signs.

Very few people correctly anticipate how high the market will go and most will be shocked by the final peak. This is the bull market when #Bitcoin achieves geopolitical significance, so everyone will be watching. The feeding frenzy may be like nothing we've ever seen.

I know you’re only trying to be helpful, but posts like these just feed the mass media misdirective that #bitcoin will make you Fiat rich someday.

Bitcoin was built to escape fiat. If you’re looking to buy it, then go back to fiat, then you’re likely better off just not buying it in the first place.

Unless you are a massive Fiat whale or have insider knowledge via your politician friends, timing the market is not something that is possible to do.

Bitcoin isn’t a sexy crypto. Bitcoin is the strong silent type. It was built to always be there when you need it. It is what’s real, while everything else is the illusion.

I’d be scared and in denial of #bitcoin too if it rendered my career and professional knowledge obsolete.

Won’t somebody please think of the poor bankers and Wall Street bros??

What will they do if all their generational wealth suddenly doesn’t get them special treatment any more??

Sad face.

If you are in all of these groups, no one cares:

a) have beaten an ostrich in hand to hand combat

b) can sing in a 5 octave range

c) have bought #bitcoin

d) have eaten a turnip upside down on a merry go round.

Some dumb shit right there, no?

If it helps make you less dependent on the Fiat debt slavery cartel or if it brings you immense daily joy then I say buy it.

Given the cost though, roughly 0.08 #bitcoin, I personally wouldn’t.

Good high quality tools are one of the few things though that I will still buy.
