The only interesting thing about this wave of ETFs is the fact that only these massive institutions would be in a position to actually see and know the scale of capital flight that is happening right now from fiat into #bitcoin.

Since they are all seeking to ultimately gain more Fiat, the fact that they are showing interest in Bitcoin at all must mean that they are seeing capital flight accelerating.

This is good for Bitcoin not because it will increase the Fiat price, but rather the fact that more people must be showing interest in it.

Institutions will always use their size and market perspective to try and front run individual plebs.

They won’t get any Bitcoin from me though, no matter how much filthy Fiat they try to throw at me.

Intelligence is not knowing the right answer to a question. It is knowing as many answers as possible to a question and being able to understand and explain the flaws with each of them.

In my opinion, low effort posts like yours do nothing but waste everyone’s time.

Maybe some people like them though. What do I know.

The beauty of Nostr is that I can simply mute you, and then I don’t have to see your stuff if I don’t want to but others who may enjoy it can continue to gobble it up as they see fit.

Yay #nostr!

"Do You See the Fnords?"

Let's start with what a fnord is. While best known from a book called the "Illuminatus Trilogy" by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, it actually originated in a work called "Principia Discordia". "Principia Discordia" is a foundational text for the Discordian religion.

Discordianism is a modern, chaos-based religion, or perhaps a parody religion, depending on one's perspective, which venerates Eris, the Ancient Greek goddess of chaos. The "Principia Discordia" was authored by Greg Hill and Kerry Wendell Thornley. The two used the pseudonyms Malaclypse the Younger and Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst, respectively, within the book.

In this context, a "fnord" can be thought of as a type of misinformation or disinformation, a deliberately implanted falsehood or distraction. It's a part of the overall Discordian theme of chaos, confusion, and seeing through the illusions presented by societal systems and the media.

The "Illuminatus!" Trilogy later adopted and expanded on the concept, presenting fnords as subliminal, anxiety-inducing messages. Simply put, a fnord is "a piece of disinformation in plain sight," and the news and media in general are full of them. Most headlines and snippets are fnords. Here's an example, a major news story right now is that the Republicans might impeach Merrick Garland.

Today on Twitter, NewsMax posted a story about this. The attention-seeking headline was,

"POSSIBLE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY: House Speaker McCarthy suggested the lower chamber might launch an impeachment inquiry into AG Merrick Garland after an IRS whistleblower said he interfered with an investigation into Hunter Biden."

Whoa, all caps must be very serious and real, you don't just use all caps willy-nilly, do you? Anyway, a guy with the Twitter handle @Shorting_Bull responded with this, ' "Suggested"...."might" '

My response was, "You're not supposed to see the fnords," and he then responded with, "It's like those damned pictures they sold at the mall where you could only see the sailboat if you stared at it the right way."

What a great point, and it led me to the reason it is so hard to talk to people who do not yet "see the fnords". If you remember those pictures he referenced, once you can see the boat (or whatever is in the given picture) you can never not see it again. Yet if you show it to someone, point right at it, draw a circle around it, they still do not see it.

No one can see a fnord for you, you must see it for yourself. Once you do, you get really good at seeing them really fast. Remember the movie "They Live" and those glasses in it? With the glasses on, the characters saw the truth of modern society. All the media went from pretty pictures to simple black and white messages like....

"Consume"

"Obey"

"Do Not Question Authority"

"No Independent Thought"

"Conform"

"Submit"

Etc.

"They Live" is a fictional movie that explains the reality of fnords. It had to be absolutely over the top to break through the mindset of modern man who thinks he is free and yet is enslaved by the system he has been conditioned to defend since birth. It was taking the fnord to the maximum and entertaining sci-fi extreme.

The real fnords, though, are more subtle; you either see them or you don't. Yet, if you look for them, if you clear your mind, you will see them. Once you do see them, you will be like characters in "Illuminatus!" who, after waking up, ran around shouting, "I see the fnords," and ended up at a loss for how others couldn't see them. I mean, they are right there, in the open, so obvious. Just remember, a day before, you didn't see them either.

Then, just remember standing in a mall at Spencer Gifts in the '80-'90s (assuming you are old enough) and shouting at your friend,

"I see it, there's the boat, right there, don't you see it? It is right there!"

And your friend tilted their head like a German Shepherd hearing a strange noise and said, "I don't see it." It is like that. They are not going to see it until they are ready to see it for themselves.

In real life, there are no magic sunglasses to see the fnords. It remains the job of each individual to see them for themselves. So, do you see the fnords? If not, keep looking. Once you see them, you will never not see them, ever again.

Advice from An Old Farmer

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.

Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.

Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.

A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.

Words that soak into your ears are whispered… not yelled.

Meanness don’t jes’ happen overnight.

Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.

Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.

It don’t take a very big person to carry a grudge.

You cannot unsay a cruel word.

Every path has a few puddles.

When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.

The best sermons are lived, not preached.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never gonna happen anyway.

Don’t judge folks by their relatives.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Live a good, honorable life… Then when you get older and think back, you’ll enjoy it a second time.

Don ‘t interfere with somethin’ that ain’t bothering you none.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.

Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

The biggest troublemaker you’ll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin’.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin’ it back in.

If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around..

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Don’t pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he’ll just kill you.

Most times, it just gets down to common sense.

This made my day. Thank you.

My reluctance to have children is rooted in not wanting to produce more slaves for the Fiat debt slavery cartel to exploit.

That, and there’s already far too many humans on earth.

Whenever I catch myself thinking a group of people are all the same, I am quickly reminded that the variability within a group is almost always greater than the variability between them.

The lesson is to never generalize. We are all different in some way. I’m sure most trans people just go about their days and mind their own damn business. I’m sure there are also trans people who like to be the center of attention and tell everyone they meet about their genitalia in great detail.

Every group, even trans people, has its share of annoying motherfuckers. Some middle class white dudes will send dick pics to strangers no? Is that really that different than what the annoying trans people do? Most trans people, like most middle class white dudes, are probably just trying to live their life as best they can in a system that exploits them and their weaknesses for profit. They are probably not trying to offend anyone and likely just want to be left the fuck alone.

I suggest we do just that.

Do you have any uncommon beliefs or opinions on the world in general or a field of interest?

The power of Nostr is to expose people to content that would otherwise be censored by our propaganda machine/mainstream media conglomerates.

I like the term #thinkdangerously as thinking for oneself, even if completely wrong, still has value in my opinion.

Plus, if you never expose your opinions to the world, you’ll likely never get challenged on them and just stagnate as a result.

It’s like the line from Natural Born Killers:

“Look bitch, you knew I was a snake”…

Hmm. But why should our kids be the ones to overthrow the slavers? Can’t we just do it ourselves and hold off on having kids until the slavers are overthrown? Seems kinda cowardly to expect my kids to fight my battles for me, no?

On the other hand, if the slavers wanted to control me even more, they could very easily write a book whose contents I’m totally not allowed to question, and in it say all kinds of crazy stuff to keep me in line. Stuff like “have lots of kids cuz they’ll fight your battles for you”…

The reality in that case would be that the slavers actually want me to keep having kids, cuz those kids give them something they can leverage over me and threaten me with. They restrict my movements, take up my time, keep me distracted, keep me needing to work for the slavers because I have extra mouths to feed, keep me doing anything and everything but figuring out a way to overthrow the slavers. What a great system of control no?? Oh and slaver bonus! They can also be guaranteed a whole new bunch of slaves, generation after generation.

Hmm. What if the Old Testament was just another tool of subversion and control written by the slavers as opposed to the “word of god”?

Anyway, I appreciate the response. I know you’re just trying to explain your point of view using the language and tools at your disposal. It’s nice that you gave the matter some thought.
