As much as it sucks to get locked out of what you thought was your own account, this experience is teaching others an extremely valuable lesson about data ownership.

Now that you’re building a new presence on Nostr, make sure to back up your nsec in more than one place. I use two different password managers and an offline backup as well. A $10 USB stick in a fireproof lockbox should suffice.

The only person who can lock you out of Nostr is yourself.

In honor of the "pill" metaphor may I suggest "refill". I've noticed that I enjoy these conversations way more than the initial orange pilling. Once they have legitimate Bitcoin questions and not the superficial FUD questions, the conversations more dynamic and engaging.
