Thanks man. Will check it out!
Band Member Profile - Alex
I am Alex, the drummer and sound engineer of Strange Love. I started playing drums when I was 11, and I started recording and mixing about 4 years ago. Some of my favourite bands are Yes, The Beatles, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Led Zeppelin. My favourite drummers are Bill Bruford, Phil Collins and Ringo Starr. The best part of playing drums in a band is being responsible for the "heartbeat" or feel of the song we play. Changing the drum beat, playing double time/half time or stopping completely can make the listener perceive the rest of the music entirely different. I love having that power and control when we play and write songs. One of my greatest hobbies outside of music is Star Trek. I love TOS and DS9 the most probably, but not too big of a fan of the newer shows being released right now. I have been to 2 Trek conventions in Vegas! #v4vmusic #startrekstr

Band Member Profile - Anthony
Hello #nostr, I am Anthony the guitarist and main song writer of Strange Love. I was 16 when I started playing guitar and shortly after met the other members of the band. My favourite bands are RHCP, The Beatles, Radiohead and Billy Talent. Some of my favourite musicians are Gordon Lightfoot, Johhny Marr and John Frusciante. My favourite part of being in the band is writing songs together that reflect our life and emotions at the time of writing them. I love creating guitar riffs and piecing together parts to create the melody of songs. My favourite hobby outside of music is cars. I have owned everything from a Toyota Tercel to a Dodge Ram. Stick around to meet our other band members! #grownostr #music #v4vmusic

Thanks so much! We have a passion for our music and are loving this space so we ain’t foolin’ around!
We will of course take anyone sats as well 😂. Thank you sir!
We have been on #nostr for 2 months now and gotten to know some wonderful nostriches! We want to do some band member introductions so you can better know who Strange Love is. But first, a band overview: We are 3 guys who have been jamming and writing songs since 2009. We pride ourselves on having a diverse set of influences individually and collectively, and we think this comes out in our music. In 2020 when the world was shutting down, we made a decision to build and record in a home studio and become completely independent such that we recorded, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered our own work. It was a lot to learn, but we are proud for doing it. Now that we have found #v4vmusic, this should be the icing on the cake! Especially once we figure out how to self-host our music. So far we have released our earliest work. Both our EP and the Live at Rockpile album were recorded in 2011. We were 17, 19, and 20 respectfully. We will be releasing much more work that was recorded within the last few years through the new year! We would love to have you along for the ride. Sats are great, but what we really want is to reach as many ears as possible, since music serves no purpose if no one is enjoying it. Stick around for band member introductions over the weekend to get to know our members a bit more personally! 😜 #grownostr #music
I heard something about how even the old CRT tvs had the ability to spy on you. As in you think you are watching tv but it’s watching you too…don’t know if it’s true though. But I wouldn’t doubt it.
100%. I have grapheme OS on one of my phones. I hear from the privacy community it’s the best to keep your info private.
Unfortunately they are going to push digital ids everywhere I think. And it’s up to us to push back
I could be wrong but I think you need to sign up for Wavlake with an email and password. Not with your nostr identity. I don’t think it’s exactly a nostr enabled app.
Thanks! Yes everyone has been really awesome! No complaints
Thanks so much! Appreciate the encouragement.
Would love to hear a V4VJs roundtable episode! Sounds sweet!

PSA: You can be decentralized and also be on any platform you'd like. For example, you could upload to Spotify AND host your own RSS feed. If money is a concern, you can host an RSS feed on GitHub for free!
I know most people on here aren't looking for this advice, and that's cool with me. If just one person is, then the post is worth it. I also know most people here won't take my opinions on independent music seriously, and that's cool too. But week after week, I cohost a decentralized music show with the wonderful nostr:npub19ha7tju4teqp3dmwv4p28wrcy9zd6h6hxkg5mwvjrlfycweazpkse2q0fa. This is a labor of love. The love comes from freedom of doing things that matches our vision of sovereignty. Without it, I don't think we'd have the motivation to be doing our 115th episode this week, which you can check out on Thursday at 7PMc/8PMe https://homegrownhits.xyz 💜
Will definitely be looking into doing this! Post was worth it for sure!👍
CO2 is 30% of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The other 70% is water vapor. You don’t hear anyone talking about getting water vapor out of the air, because that quite literally sounds idiotic.
No worries sir! You have put a lot of effort into helping artists adopt nostr and Bitcoin!
Hey that sounds great! And like a lot of fun! Wouldn’t mind at all coming on for an interview! Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!
Yeah for sure. I definitely will look into it. Might as well do as much as we can to be as independent as possible
