OCEAN will continue its 0% promotional pool fee for options 1 & 2 while there will be a competitive pool fee of 2% for option 3.

Our fees are structured to incentivize miners to make choices that benefit the Bitcoin network in the long term.

Ich verstehe den Sinn hinter Lightning auf liquid nicht.

Kann die Liquid Federation nicht einfach einen fork mit riesigen Blöcken aufsetzen, sobald der Blockspace knapp werden würde?

Stellen euch vor ihr könntet mit Phoenix oder Breez Kanäle auf Liquid anstelle der Bitcoin-Mainchain eröffnen.

Es würde Kanäle zwischen Liquid und der Mainchain geben, Betreiber dieser Kanäle würden über Gebühren Geld verdienen.

Endbenutzer würden wählen, ob sie Kanäle auf der Bitcoin-Timechain mit höheren Gebühren und höherer Sicherheit wünschen oder mit geringen Gebühren und weniger Sicherheit auf Liquid. Entscheidend ist hier, dass Händler normale Bitcoins erhalten würden, da die Zahlung über die Bridge geleitet würde. Das Lightning-Netzwerk würde erweitert und verschiedene Sicherungsmechanismen nutzen, die für unterschiedliche Benutzer geeignet sind. Händler wollen „echte Bitcoins“, Kunden wollen niedrige Gebühren. Und wir können beides haben.

Wie soll das gehen?

Um eine Brücke zwischen den Chains zu bauen, müssen wir zwei Lightning-Instanzen ausführen (eine auf Bitcoin, eine auf Liquid) und einen gehosteten Kanal zwischen den beiden erstellen. Es muss kein Code geschrieben werden, Core Lightning unterstützt Liquid bereits. Nach dem anlegen der Gebühren kann es eigentlich schon losgehen.
